Questions & Answers

Gates advertise a height of 36". Do the mounting points reach the top or do they start at the bottom? There's only 35" between the top of my banister and the top of the stairwell. ?

There are 34" of mounting points above the lower mounting points. The gap between you and the wall is one inch. It is 36" tall, and the arch at the gate is 36" wide.

What is the width of the ?

My cat isn't going to fall through the screen because I bought this and installed it in my window. So he won't fall through even if he pushes against it, and I can still fully operate the sliding window, even if he pushes against it. Space 2 is the largest of the two spaces. At the junction of the gate and the side pieces, the gate and the side pieces are 75" apart. Those are the only gaps that aren't 3. It measures 25". One other gap on the sides is between your wall and your side, but you can adjust how much you add or subtract from the side based on the width of your space. In total, you will find four side modules, which can be placed on either side or either one in any combination, or not used Using all four side modules together on the left, I have a 45" wide window (large wood casement all around). Therefore, I have just the gate on the right side where the window opens, and the four side modules During installation, there will be just under two inches of gap on either side. Using the following formula, if your dog's head does not fit through the biggest This will work if you keep the end gaps as small as possible, and you keep the top hole at 75". You want the window to open in, so install it that way! The bronze I ordered works perfectly for the room. I like it very much. I really like the arched design on this. The large Ragdoll cat is happy to poke his nose through the slats and lay out in the sun, listening to the birds he can't catch, and I can open the window all the way without worrying about him jumping at the screen.

A wide opening is provided at the bottom of the gate how large is it? Cats live with me, so I don't want them to fall through the cracks. ?

A 9 month old, 6 year old, and a 9 month old. It is possible for a kitten weighing five pounds to walk straight through the hinging This is my list of 10 things. Even though she was 5 pounds, the middle cat managed to get her head pulled through the opening before I grabbed her (and I have no doubt that she could have gone the rest of the way). This has been solved by wrapping a piece of fabric around the section in question. Jumping up to the top, balancing, and then jumping down is one of my kitten's favorite things to do. Even my older two cats who have been fighting haven't tried to climb over the gate to fight each other, which the gate was designed for. I hang a piece of fabric up another foot and a half from a couple of command hooks when I want a little more security. There is no way most cats will make an attempt to climb

Do you have any options for ordering additional sections so that the gate can be used in a larger room?

My impression is that it isn't true. The gate was ordered for a number of different areas in my house, and some of them needed more extensions than others, so I combined multiple

Therefore, for all those who would like to know if this is a good buy and what they paid for, the answer is yes. This product has a great construction, a very pleasing appearance, and is very For those who would like to read a more detailed review, here it is! From the look of the gate, I would say that it looks more like a tiny garden gate than an infant/dog Whenever we're away, we leave it up on our stairs so that when we come back it ensures the dogs won't find themselves an exciting new potty spot or a new pair of underwear to slobber on. A key aspect to keep in mind is that this gate has a door for a reason it is not a lightweight wood and white plastic gate. This is a sturdy product. There is a lot of quality metal to be installed (and it is not difficult). As such, it is not something you would want to buy if you were looking to raise and lower a gate as it would be far too cumbersome. The fact that this is suitable for gates doesn't negate its novelty, but I remember when my grandmother's gate was opened by tiny hands, which might explain why so many of you are interested in this product, and I am sure you will agree it is well designed to meet that need. A childproof mechanism consists of three parts the first involves sliding a tab at the top of the gate to release the latch the second is to pull up on the door to make it open, and the third is to use a pretty hefty coil spring to close the gate. Although I love the first two mechanisms because they have been added in a way that does not add any visual bulk to the gate, I have concerns about the third one. As a result, the movie lost a star. Because of the spring, it really does have a significant force behind it, and this thing slams So, if a kid made their way into that place (even though that is unlikely), it wouldn't end well, and even though those are unlikely situations, trouble like that tends to follow kids around so you might as well be ready for it.

Overall, I would give this product 4 stars, but I would certainly recommend it for its sturdy construction and how well it blends into our home without appearing cheap. There's a spring loaded door return that is too intense for me, and when you go through the door, it makes a loud slam if you don't hold it With that said, I was pretty happy when we bought it because it's definitely the best thing we've ever purchased in terms of its design and function. What did you think of my review? ***Have you found it The answer is yes, I hope! Please let me know if you have any questions using the comments section below.

When the extensions are installed, it is not usable
3/5

It is reasonable to assume that the positive reviews were written by people who are not using all of the extensions included in the program. I was forced to use all of the extension pieces that the package included to cover my 45" Due to the design, there need to be a fair amount of pressure applied to the mounting points both to align the latch properly and to ensure that the gate is secured firmly. All of the extension bolts were inserted, however, and adequate pressure applied at the mounting points, the entire gate assembly buckled or bent. Here are two images I've included. To prevent the gate from buckling, I am holding it in position with my foot in the first picture. I have removed my foot from the second picture and you can see how bad it has Having returned it, I contacted the vendor. The extensions make it unusable with the extension, and that's a bummer.

It was a good decision to spend more money
5/5

As a result of the negative reviews, I was afraid to purchase this item. As far as I'm concerned, I'm glad I bought it. I was also worried that it wouldn't work because the maximum is 48 inches and my door way is 48 inches, but it fit just fine. It wasn't even extended to its fullest extent, so it would probably fit with a 48 or even a 49 inch door opening. It didn't seem much help to use the wrench that came with it. The best type of lock would be a channel lock. The gate can be opened in two steps -- a slide and a I think it will take some time for my 2 year old son to open this gate, which is press and lift. He did open our Expansion Swing Wide Gate, but I do not think he will be able to do the same with I like the design, and the color makes it look more expensive than it really Arches add a nice touch to the gate, even if it is not perfectly centered when all the expander panels are in place. According to the instructions, it is supposed to sit on one side.

It says "auto-reset" It's supposed to lock, but I do not get that message. Probably just a matter of not having it perfectly centered. It will be locked on the bottom if I push it hard, but I have to press the top button to make it shut. The problem is not that big. A recent update Due to its automatic nature, it must have "settled" The closing has been completed. The threshold below my baseboard was not too close to my baseboard, since I didn't want to trip on it. As time passes, I'll be able to tell if the pressure holds or if I'll need to invest in a drill to install the hardware included. In the bar spacing, the bars are very close together. The width of the expanders is 2", but the corners are nearly 4"x4", so small cats or small puppies could fit in there. Tempted as I was to obtain a fabric gate and step over it, I decided against The decision to not do so was one I'm glad I made. If it were half the price, it would still have been an accident waiting to happen.

One reviewer called the gate narrow, but I'm not small (5'8", size 14-- 16), I do not have to turn sideways. We use ours a lot since it separates our living room from our bedrooms, dining room from our kitchen, and garage from our garage. In the past, the old style pressure gates with the arm would have been difficult to take down and put up on several occasions each This is a latch gate that can be used by kids who can open standard gates, by medium to large pets and for areas with lots of traffic, as well as by families on a budget. Your best bet would be to go this route. As a result of reading reviews for hours, I settled on this one, and I'm glad I did. The day that changes, if it ever does, I will update.
