This was recently installed in my basement to replace an old sewage pump. It wouldn't work without a catch basin or tank, in my opinion. br>As long as it's at least 18" across and 24" deep, you'll be fine; the description will probably give you more accurate measurements. I can recommend the pump because it hasn't had any problems in over two years.

This was purchased to replace a burned-out unit that was not discovered until the backup into the yard started. To summarize, I purchased this because of the head pressure and overall GPM; Due to the unknown depth of the hole and whether or not there were any solids, this seemed adequate. The old unit was only about a foot and a half down in a basin, which was surprising. The as- The system's built drawings were lacking, but I was able to replace them and am pleased with the results so far. My only issue is that I don't know how to lower the float.
I used this pump to replace a Wayne pump with a similar horsepower. The weight of this pump is significantly less than that of my previous one. The first pump was designed to last eleven years. I can't speak to the longevity of the new pump because it's only been in use for about two months, but I bought it because of the first one's longevity and performance. Setting up the pump is simple; the plumbing is more difficult. Despite my advanced age, I was able to successfully install the pump, which is performing as well as my original.
Because the first unit was a Wayne, I decided to go with him. It lasted 16 years on and off, with only one use for basement condensation water and one sink during that time. The only unit I could find with a 3 inch discharge was this one. The impeller on the previous unit was stainless steel, but not on this one. Longevity hasn't been seen yet, but it's been in place since May 2020. Let's see how things turn out.
This Wayne 57333-A was purchased by me. As a replacement for a cast iron pump used to circulate water, the WYN4 SEL50 1/2 hp Thermoplastic Sewage Pump. My water line has a 20-foot run and a 15-foot rise, with a strong water flow. In temperatures typical of the Mid-Atlantic, this device is in use all year. Atlantic. The powerful water flow has impressed me. When the on/off float is turned on, there is no delay. I've had the pump for six months and am hopeful that it will last for many more.
It's difficult to say how simple it was to install because I had a professional plumber do it for me, but it does the job, it's quiet, and as long as it works, I'm satisfied with my purchase.
a fantastic pump Simple to set up, well-made, and silent. In less than an hour, you'll be out of the box and into your new ejector pit. Because the unit is heavy and solid, it will not move or slip. The quality of the float is superior to that of other types of pumps. The ejector coupling's threads are tight but easy to thread into. I like how quiet the unit is when it's on because it has a long power cord.
However, it's simple to set up, and you can get a warranty if you purchase it. It's simple to set up, but it's failed three times, resulting in flooding in my basement. After only 42 days, they wouldn't let me come back in. I should've gone ahead and purchased the extended warranty. I'm open to making a trade, but at this price, I was hoping for some assistance.
Although it appears to have been mistreated during transit, the seller promptly replaced it. Although the new unit has not yet been installed, it appears to be in excellent working order. It's well-crafted and appears to be of high quality.
