My parents' Little Giant was 15 years old at the time. We had to buy a new one because our old one had stopped working. When we removed the old one, we discovered a rock had become lodged inside. I removed the rock and it is now fully functional. We'll keep it on as a backup. The old one still holds up as well as it did when it was first installed. I don't think we'll ever use this new one. When you need a sump pump, you need one that will work reliably. Although this is pricey, you get what you pay for.
The job required a long cord, which was ideal.
In less than two years, you'll have a reliable seal. We received no response from the manufacturer. They suggested that the entire top portion be replaced at one point. However, after seeing pictures of the pump, they recommended that I get a new one. With their "3-step" plan, they provided no assistance. "One-Year Warranty. " They were unconcerned about the failure of their product. See pics. Model M1052 by Zoeller has been installed in its place.
The difference between life and death. This pump works extremely quickly and efficiently. Allows no more than 3 inches of water to pass through.
