A standard plug worked in my case. I'm guessing it was between 110 and 120 degrees. There are 115 volts in this circuit. I purchased two (2) 2" pumps and 2" heels pumps with a diameter of 3 inches All of them perform admirably. The 3 inch pump is ideal if you need to pump very high.
Because the pump comes with a 32' power cord, you'll need to buy a longer one. There are power cables available in lengths of 50 and 100 feet. The mechanical seal in these pumps is rated for 66' of submergence less the duty point head (e.g., the duty point head in these pumps is rated for 66' of submergence less the duty point head (e.g., The maximum submergence would be 66-foot TDH if the pump was operating at 40' TDH. 40= 26'. If the pump has a head of 20 feet, the maximum submergence is 66 feet. 20= 46'. However, don't overlook the cable.

After my previous utility pump became clogged with leaves and grass clippings, I purchased this pump to help clear rainwater. I dug a 4" deep sump beneath the concrete surface to ensure that at least 3-feet of water was available. 1/2 gallon of water to self-clean I'm using the HC7000 Utility Pump Controller for the float switch, which has a simple electrode tip that I tied 4" from the bottom. br>br>I'm glad I chose the 1 HP model instead of the more popular 1/2 HP model. This one uses 9. 1 volts and has a standard 110V plug. The maximum current draw of a typical 15A or 20A household circuit is 6 amps. It's slightly larger than the 1/2 HP model, but it's even more powerful when it comes to solids handling. This is an outstanding piece of gear! br>br>A video of the HS3 can be found here. The 75S is in action. br>br>9/2020 Update: For the pump controller, I switched to the HC6000v2 because the new version has an option to turn off the alarm. The HC7000 pump controller had a lot of false alarms because it was attempting to sense the motor current. The HC6000v2 is a fantastic piece of equipment.
I ended up going with the 1/2 horsepower, but I'm here to tell you that these pumps are fantastic. I would simply recommend googling the calculation to determine the amount of water in your pond and purchasing the appropriate pump to circulate the water in your pond in 1-minute intervals. My pond was quite small, so it took me two hours. It comes highly recommended.

By the way, Amazon had the best deal on these pumps when it came to delivery. even better than the big commercial pump resale sites on the internet!.
This is a fantastic pump for quickly moving large amounts of water. Regardless of whether or not the water contains debris. The additional cost is well worth it.
