If there are any problems, I will change it, but so far everything has worked out well. Upflush is now operational, and the bathroom is now complete. For output, I only used 45-degree angles. For venting, 90 degrees is fine. On the first floor, I hooked up to a vent. To prevent leaks, I covered the unused end with a cap. I used 1. 5" to 1. Because the hole was a little smaller, we used 25" rubber couplers for the sink drain and the vent pipe to the unit. To ensure that no water returned to the unit, I installed a check valve. The unit would keep running if it didn't have the additional checkvalve. The pipe from the commode to the mascerator is 3" pvc and connects to the commode via a 3" to 4" rubber coupler (purchased from Amazon Fernco Inc. ). Everything arrived in perfect condition and appears to be exactly as described. Regrettably, I was unable to put it in place. We're currently staying with my parents until our house is completed, and we wanted to add a bathroom to the basement where we're staying. Things have been a jumble since I gave birth to my second child - We're getting closer to moving out because my husband has been extremely busy with work. I've reached the end of the return period - If anyone is interested in purchasing this one, I'd be happy to sell it at a reduced price because I'm never going to use it. Or if the manufacturer can assist me in figuring something out so that I don't waste my money?.
I couldn't bring myself to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a garbage disposal that was entirely made of plastic (apart from the blades and motor). This functioned as expected and was simple to set up. This is an excellent product.
There were stains, discoloration, and a distinct odor, indicating that a macerator had been used. The macerator had been packed in wet and filthy plastic. There was clearly a small amount of waste water in the unit when I tipped it over. This is the third time I've installed one of these, and it's the first time one has arrived in such poor condition. I'm on a tight deadline and won't be able to exchange. I haven't contacted the manufacturer yet, but once I do, I'll update my rating.
The product does exactly what it says it will and is quite quiet. But, to be fair, I was replacing a 10-year-old Saniflo. The previous owner of the property was a self-taught handyman. I'd give it five stars, but the adapters that came with it didn't fit any of the house's standard-sized American piping. At the very least, the instruction booklet is a farce. 8 pages that really don't say much about how to put the unit together. All of the figures in the booklet are on one page, so if your eyesight isn't 20/20, you'll have a hard time reading them.
So far, it's been great, and it's a lot quieter than the old unit. Some minor plumbing changes were required. After a month, everything seems to be going well.
Just plug it in and go! This is a very simple system to install, and it will save you a lot of time and money over a traditional system installed on cement in the basement. Keep small plastic children's toys out of the system, or the pump's macerater blade will break!.
This product was ideal for tight spaces, basements, garages, and anywhere else where you need to connect to your main sewer line. It ejects vertically up to 15 feet with ease. I absolutely loved it as shown in the photo for a friend's Man Cave.
