Questions & Answers
I've had this pump since March of last year, 2020, and I use it to drain my washer. All is well, and the operation has gone off without a hitch so far.
I used this in a situation where I needed to raise the discharge by 8 feet using two elbows. There was no need for anything special. For long distances, they recommend contacting Liberty Pumps to find out what your options are. Many factors play a role, including pipe turns, and over long distances, a larger pipe may aid in distance improvement. They'll be able to tell you what the maximums are without a doubt.
I'm guessing about a gallon.
On the side, there is a 4-inch intake. Plumbing into it was done with a 4 inch rubber coupling. You could also plumb a 3 inch pipe into it using a 3in to 4 inch reducer coupling. The top-mounted outlet and vent are both 2 inch, but you'll need a threaded coupling to connect them.

Pump of excellent quality. It performed admirably in the installation of my basement bathroom. I've included some photos to show you how to complete the basic installation. I used a 3" main line in for my application, and it worked perfectly. The 2" discharge and 2" vent functioned flawlessly. On the discharge, don't forget to install a check valve! I also included a ball valve and a couple of unions so that the lid could be removed. just in case there's an issue with the pump.
I built a 36-inch-diameter barrel and dug a 42-inch-deep pit. The sump was placed on pea gravel and connected to the plumbing system. It's easy to use, quiet, and effective.
This is the second time I've bought the product. It was a breeze to set up; in addition to saw- Cutting the concrete basement floor and digging a waste inlet trench: It worked perfectly and quietly in my previous home, so I had no reservations about installing it in my new one. Both installations necessitated an 8-foot vertical lift of waste pipes above the ground. A transparent check valve is included in the new installation to ensure that liquid is flowing.
Years ago, I wish I had bought it. This unit was purchased to replace our old cement liquids pump tank, which was originally installed in the 1970s. We could always smell septic because the cement lid was very heavy and never closed. This would also allow leaves and debris to enter the pump, clogging it. It was time to replace the older pump, which had finally failed. I came across this 380 unit while searching for a plastic holding tank. I thought it was a great value for the price. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality when it arrived. It was already put together, so all I had to do was connect the dots. Working with my existing tank was difficult because I chose to keep it in place rather than dismantle it; I punched a hole in the bottom of the cement tank in case it overflowed. All I have to do now is construct a lid out of treated 2x6s. I plugged in the tank after filling it with water. It drained the entire tank in seconds, which I found quite impressive. It was a little loud at first, but it got quieter and smoother as time went on. I wish I'd known about this years ago, because it would have saved me a lot of time and trouble. This is something I would strongly recommend to anyone.
a very important package This is a great turn-around. a very important package As others have mentioned, the pump was loose in the tank when it arrived, and the scratches on the inside of the tank indicated that it had been jostled during transit. Before installing it, I double-checked and tested it, and there were no issues. The system is now up and running, but I believe the seller should secure the pump inside the tank before shipping it.
I'm pushing’ vertical and 52’ horizontal with’ upgrade and’ it does it easily. Because I was concerned about the pressure, I installed two one-way valves, which I'm glad I did for the added peace of mind. br>I called Liberty Pump and asked them a few questions, and they were extremely responsive and accommodating.
This unit is extremely well-made. Stainless steel bolts for the hatches are among the high-quality materials used throughout. Instead of screwing into the plastic itself, they thread into stainless nuts embedded in the housing. When testing the unit with clear water, I discovered I had a problem with blowby back into the basin from the discharge port, which was resolved with a few email exchanges in one morning. Customer service was extremely helpful and responsive.
Pump showed up in a messed-up condition. a taped-up box that appeared to have been reassembled by the carrier I took pictures to prove that a shipping container was in poor condition. There isn't a single pillar of support within the shakily held-together structure. box in which everything is put together I removed the inspection cover and discovered, as did other reviewers, that the riser pipe and motor were slanted to the point where the motor was striking the tank's side. This problem was dismantled and fixed, but the gasket at the riser connection was torn. Again, I agree with the previous poster that shipping requires security. the motor, which is essentially dangling and heavy. This issue will be reported to Liberty Pumps. Will they be able to resolve the issue? It certainly does not appear to be the case.
