The pump arrived on time and at a lower cost than the local septic supply company. It did not come with a float, despite the fact that it stated that it did. A float switch does, in fact, come with the package. This was advantageous because my original switch was the cause of my pump's failure. It became stuck shut, and the pump became depleted, causing it to burn out. My septic system is back up and running thanks to the new pump, which was installed directly into existing plumbing.
When the item arrived, it appeared to be brand new, but it had been used. The plug end was cut off, but I didn't mind because I was going to cut it off anyway. Everything was put right by Amazon.
The pump itself is fine, but the float switch that came with it is malfunctioning, causing the pump to cycle on and off and tripping the GFI that powers it. It has already overflowed my sewage pit twice!.
I had to pull out my sewage sump tank to replace the float switch because the cable had a burned spot, so I chipped the inch thick black crust off the pump body and dropped it back into the tank, which is now working fine.
