Questions & Answers

Would this be a pump that works on demand?

There is an "on demand" pump here. So long as the pressure out of the compressor is less than 55 pounds, it will continue to run. You just need to realize that the pump will continue running after the faucet has been turned off until the water lines reach 55 lb. When there is a leak in the line, sporadically cycling will occur because the water pressure is reduced. It will also take longer if there is an accumulator in the line, since it has to fill the accumulator reservoir to the cutoff pressure before it will turn off. A capacitor, on the other hand, will not turn on as often as an accumulator. You cannot constantly let a motor cycle, that is the worst thing you can do to it. It is possible for battery draw to be five times higher during startup than during As these devices draw more power (about 7 amps), they can reduce the amount of time your battery can be used between charges.

Is the pump included in the package? Does the machine have any accessories, fittings, etc. ? Is it just a direct replacement of the 2088-model The 422-word limit Do we need to submit a 444 or anything else?

September 2018 was the date I ordered this product. In addition to the instructions and fittings, the product came in a retail box. A 2088-based memory module was replaced The 422-word limit

I would like to know what the maximum is. How hot does the liquid have to be before it ruptures? It is necessary to transfer beer at a temperature of about 90°C. ?

The product details above specify the usage guidelines for this pump, which state that it can handle liquids up to 130F (54C). To find the answer, I searched some of the information on the SHURflo website, then returned to this page to see it. Well, aquaman, I make beer, and I think your idea of using a 3 Gal/min pump to transfer your wort is a great one. A racking cane, which is essentially a siphon tube, is used to transfer the wort, but it can be time-consuming. The model 8050 should be searched for No. 305 Here is a pump twice as expensive, but which is designed to pump engine oil and transmission fluid in boats and RVs. Click here for more information or on the SHURflo website to see the pump. It is hard for me to find the heat liquid rating, but it seems to work. I wish you all the best!

Does the pressure have the ability to ?

As far as the pump is concerned (depending on how one interprets your question), you cannot adjust the pressure, since it changes based on how much you open the By adjusting the shut-off pressure, you are able to avoid the pump turning off. An allen wrench with a 5/64" size is required for setting that to 45psi (factory setting). The pressure at which the by-pass system operates can also be adjusted When the factory preset pressure is reached (55PSI), pass will begin. It is stated in the owners manual that this adjustment MUST be performed by a trained technician using

As soon as the pump is pressurized, it does not shut off- You must tighten ALL the nuts and bolts! As a result of much research, I decided to use this pump to complete a total RV renovation
3/5

In spite of selecting this pump, I was disappointed to find that after installing the PEX plumbing system and carefully ensuring all connections and joints were properly sealed, the pump would not properly In an attempt to find leaks in the PEX, I disassembled several sections (of expensive PEX) not anticipating the new pump to be faulty. Yet there was no sign of them. I then read the first page of the 1-page report The unit has received a 5-star rating on Amazon, and I noticed in a review that someone had the same issue and tightening all the screws on the head unit When I took my pump apart, I tightened all the head screws, and the problem was fixed. BE SURE TO TIGHTEN ALL HEAD SCREWS BEFORE INSTALLING IF you plan on buying this unit. You can save HOURS of wasted time by using this method.

The pump I'm using is awesome
5/5

Here are 30 of my favorite things The year is The old Sureflo water pump (motor bushing wore out damaging the armature) finally gave up the ghost while I was boondocking in the southern United States. This is California. It was a hot day, and a local hardware store (one in 40 miles) had an off-season sale A Sureflo pump cost about twice as much on Amazon, and there was an 80-mile distance between the nearest supplier and where this pump was available. I was able to pick the locker up from an Amazon Locker about 60 miles away in the same area where I would be going for other reasons anyway, so I picked it up and installed it that day when I went there the next Thanks to Prime shipping and Amazon Locker, we can now enjoy more convenient shipping! My new pump has much greater pressure than my old one and is about 10 times quieter than the one I had before. I used to have a pump that would continue to run even after I turned off the water, but this new one builds pressure so quickly that when the faucet is closed, it stops instantly. (I don't have an expansion tank. ) Rubber feet make it easy to mount and are effective in reducing vibrations and noise. Rather than buying the $25 kit sold here on Amazon, I created my own sound reduction kit. Buying all of the pieces from Ace Hardware separately cost about $15. Included in those pieces were two 36-inch flexible supply lines that came with a half-inch diameter Two female FIP fittings are installed on each end, plus two short half-inch FIP fittings The nipples are made of plastic and have an inch bore. All parts go together very quickly and there is no need for Teflon tape or pipe dope (because the FIP fittings include seals). It might have been wise to test the pump before installing the sound reduction kit to see how much difference it made, but I didn't think about it at the time. Overall, I am very impressed with the performance and quietness of this pump, and I think it is quite affordable. I had a Sureflo pump for 30 years before it stopped working. My hope is that this one will last that long and that it will outlive.

I had to pull it apart because all eight screws had This item was purchased 3 years ago, very lightly used until the last 6 months we've been full time in the RV, and it started making a lot of noise just now while my wife was taking a shower
3/5

When I checked it, the pump top had This side is held together by eight screws, and they are all stripped out, I find it Luckily, the whole thing was coming apart, so I removed two washers from each screw to give it a little more purchase until I can get back to civilization and purchase another. Just a few minutes from leaving for Baja, we're taking off for the border. I found this unit to be marginally quieter than my original Shurflo however it was still quite noisy. My best results occurred when I moved the pump to a solid location, wrapped flexible hoses on both ends, and kept them out of contact with any surfaces that intensify noise. When I replace the pump, I may consider adding the accumulator tank. I have updated the report In putting the new pump in and looking at the broken one more closely, I saw there are only four screws that thread the two parts together, the other two do not seem to engage the motor side at all. What should those screws be doing? The rest of the screws are probably just decorative! So, only four screws were stripped.

The swap out process is simple
5/5

"Getting handier" means getting more proficient by the weekend for a pretty normal nerd like me. It was a super easy task to swap out my old low-profile tires My cheap RV pipes vibrated to pieces when I connected a Shurflo at the top end. All of the fittings on my new model were the same as in Using the old filter, I cleaned out the plastic fragments One "weird" thing I had to do was move the rubber feet to a different location, because I couldn't get the screws to grip and they would strip. I know it wasn't the most challenging thing to do, but it was still a fairly straightforward endeavor. With the new version, everything runs so much faster. Most of the plumbing in the house is quieter because of it, not just the pump. However, it still vibrates along the long run of tubing that goes from the kitchen area to the bathroom area (where the pump is installed) about 8' away. It would probably be best to zip tie them to something under there to reduce vibration even further However, if I wanted to cut the embarrassing vibrations by half, then this was an easy purchase. This is a 2 diaphragm unit that was previously available The 422-word limit It shook the floor and the walls pretty much to the core. Attached is a photo of the following There is a new 4008 today From 101 to The one on the right is the.

It's great to be able to do it more than 30 days out of the year
3/5

I like the fact that it doesn't require priming even when it takes a beating. It's a good choice if you intend to use it for no more than 30 days out of the year in your RV. No priming necessary for this pump that can take a beating. Travel more than that, and the cost goes up. Investing in a better quality unit may be the best option for you. It is the electronic switch used by SHURflo in the pump that is at fault. There is a lot of stickiness and very poor quality. There is no way to turn off the pump. This can already be done if you have one. A new switch can be installed very easily. This happens all the time, however. In the event that they invested in better switches, this pump would be a 5 star product. As another alternative, you can put the pump on an on/off switch so that it can be manually controlled, but this can be tedious.

There are two noise and flow classes in 4008 low and high
5/5

The Sound System is quieter than the older Model 2088, as others have stated. It is not completely silent, but this does not shatter the walls like the other one. Additionally, it makes water flow more even. There are no more spikes of water at the beginning of the pump cycle. It wasn't as smooth as a city water hook up, but it was still much better than the old connection. Unlike my current 2088, which has all rubber base, mine is the older style. There is an increase in thickness where the screws are located on the new base. I opted to use the old base of the pump instead of the original Roadtrek screws because I wanted to reuse them.
