My Little Giant Condensate Pump deserves an easy life, so I built a filter between it and my fans.
A condensation pump came up as a suggestion as I was looking for what to do about my dehumidifier - I already have one of these pumps on my boiler (furnace). That's a great idea! Because this one came with the wall mount (included), I removed the back of the dehumidifier and mounted the bracket to the case using some hardware I had lying around. Considering that the pump is now attached to the dehumidifier, any shifts in that unit will also affect the pump. A PVC soil pipe is connected to a nylon drain tube that drains into a washing machine drain pipe, and a nylon wire bonds the tube to the pipe. The next time I review it, I'll see if anyone wants a picture showing how it is mounted, and if so, I'll post it.
I have obtained quite a few over the last 30 years Condensate pumps for cooling system. I was impressed with this quality when I bought it for the first time (after buying 4 or 5 other different types). It had taken this long for someone to make a good After five years, we have reached a new milestone. In response to my wife's complaints about the weather, I checked the thermostat and it indicated that it was cold and that the furnace was There was no warm air coming out of the blower, though it was running. Having gone downstairs, I went up to the first floor. Among other things, it has a neat feature where you can move the float to see whether There is nothing. I could not test the pump because the outlet and pump were both working fine. There is no difficulty in taking apart the pump and removing the switch. My search for the numbers began after I saw some numbers on the switch. The price with shipping is about 1/3 to 1/2 the price of a new pump, so I'll look further into those. It would be worth it if the switch had a really high level of quality. Then this product would not have failed even after five years if it were really that high quality. After taking some measurements, I went to my favorite source of electrical components where I found dozens of choices for a micro switch (with a I did not have any problems with the quick connects (that's not a real issue) and the hole spacing was not standard. The pumps in all of my previous systems ceased to work as a result of the pump breaking down. I ordered a new one since I was not getting anywhere with the old
We just received a new one. I simply hooked up the old twist lock connector (still attached to the drain line full of water) to the new pump and it worked as it should. I didn't have any problems mounting the new pump There you have it. Easy as pie. How is the old pump to be reused? Pump part looks like it will provide years of service and I will use it with my heat pump water heater, which drains into a 5 gallon bucket that I empty manually every few days in the summer Due to the size of the quick connector, I had to purchase some of the switches. Furthermore, the holes are spaced differently, so I will have to modify the original bracket or make a new one by 3D printing. My favorite part is it should last a lifetime! ****If they put a better switch for the pump, this would be a 5-star product, but I probably would not have needed to buy another one.
My basement does not have a sump or a drain, as it stays dry most of the time. It's just a matter of keeping the dehumidifier on in the summer to prevent mildew from forming. It was so annoying to go down there every day and lug the bucket upstairs to empty that I gave up. We think this is a very good In the bathroom, where the drainage is about one half story up from the basement, the discharge hose was able to drain into my laundry sink. Perhaps this will be the next step, to put a high level alarm on the pump so I know if it If I do that, I'll let you know how it worked afterward if I remember to update my review.
