The pump in this machine replaced one that had been in a Clean Machine. The Clean Machine seems to be working just as well as it did before.
There are probably about 5000 cfm on this pump, but it is not a supply pump, so the cfm is really not that critical as the pump empties the reservoir every 8 hours doing so. The reservoir refills and cycles the next 8 hours.
A flushing and refilling of the cooler occurs every 8 hours. The cooler is left on 24 hours a day. I've been in Arizona since April 7th and will be there until November 7th. Water is refreshed three times a day by the cooler. When I turn off the cooler and drain the water, I move the drain hose around my yard, so the water waters my plants.
If the main pump runs dry for a short time, it doesn't seem to hurt it. I have 40 swamp coolers that I take care of and I haven't had any problems with pumps malfunctioning. According to what I've seen, the purge pumps will extend the life of your pads by three times. Thank you. I hope this was helpful.

A pump purifies water every 8 hours for 7 minutes each time. It may not seem unreasonable, but once you find out how much water is wasted, it seems alarming. There is a problem with this pump in that you can't shorten the purge time from the 7 minutes and you can't extend it to every 8 hours. The device is impossible to turn Whenever the plug is plugged in, the cycle will go through. There needs to be a switch to turn it on and off, and the purge cycle needs to be adjusted to every 24 hours, not every 8 hours as is currently set. It could even be a 3-minute purge if the 7 minute one isn't enough You have the option of 4 minutes. Although I have not checked to see if there are other brands that offer this type of adjustment, I suggest you look around before making a purchase. It still works for me since I checked the date of my purchase!.
To install the kit in my mastercool swamp cooler, it took me less than 5 minutes. As soon as that happened, it How soon are we approaching Evet 8? It would take this pump a lot longer for those mastercool pads to last a season without it. I no longer have to clean the water and pads by hand. It saves on chemicals and keeps the water and pads clean as needed without smelling like chemicals.
