So far, I've been very happy with both of these that I've bought. This coil has a chrome finish, so it is not clear if it is stainless steel or if it is coated. Anyhow, it is made of metal. This is not a bad deal because of its flexibility.

This hose is much better than the one that came with my showerhead, as it is much shorter, more flexible, and comes with the showerhead. My old showerhead and one from his item made up a shower head set. Only about an inch short of the showerhead it screws into. The leak won't be stopped if that's the case, since it didn't leak when I tested it. My first impression is that it looks tacky. It will not fit in either of my hose mounts, which is the real problem. I find the end of the hose to be too small and keeps sliding out of In light of this, I will be returning the item.
