Does that mean that both drain caps were left on by your plumber? You should be able to pop the caps off easily They may be difficult to pry off, but you should be able to do it with a screw driver. On the other side, you can see which side the drain line is Getting a plumber to come back again is a last resort.
It has two drain holes each, with four inches between them. The drain holes are about 2 inches each.
In total, the box I bought measured 9 inches high by 10 inches wide by 4 inches There is approximately an eighth of an inch to a quarter of an inch difference between those measurements and your rough opening. In two places on the ad for this particular product, those measurements are also listed. *br> *br>To be honest, the project went very well and has been used successfully in every way for several years now.
Your washer hose and how tight it fits into the drain hole have an impact on this. In the line there needs to be a trap to prevent sewer gases from entering your pipes. If there isn't one, then you are not within

The 1/2" PEX connections work fine. In addition, it will fit up to 1-inch PEX. Approximately 1/2 inch ABS drain pipe. I used this for a laundry setup in a detached garage where the drain pipe was exposed. The studs on the walls have no wall board. In addition, the plastic straps that fasten the package to the wall studs There is no need to reinforce the box, since drywall will provide more support. The valves can be relocated Oriented in such a way that the center drain is at the top, a good idea if your supply lines are coming down from below instead of coming up from above. Although it is OK, there are considerably better versions available at a higher price. If you plan to use it inside your house, a better version might be better.
Right? It's a cinch, isn't it? Why would you waste all that time fighting it just to get it installed?
WRONG! It is so close to the plastic drain connections at the bottom of the valves however, there are barbed pex connections as well Despite trying to close the crimper around the barbed connector, it will not do so because the drain connector is stuck between it and the barbed connector. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was right. At least not with the Kobalt crimping tool from Lowes. Even if you try to attach the supply first, you won't be able to do it. Instead of plumbing the drain as part of the recessed box, I cut up the drain connectors and then used the valves to use the drain. Alternatively, you could use another crimping method, or you could even use a different crimper in this case, the only problem is how flimsy it is.
attempted to replace a leaky CPVC valve in my existing house, but nobody in my locality had replacements. This unit was bought solely for the purpose of removing the valve from my existing box and replacing it. It worked, but there is a very small piece of corrosion-proof CPVC protruding behind the valve which you will have to glue a coupler to, and because of this coupler you will have very little vertical clearance when installing the valve. The valve can either be installed correctly the first time, or you will have to cut it out and replace it Using this method I was able to replace my valves for about a tenth of the cost of hiring a plumber for a simple CPVC glue job, but paid almost twice the price of replacement valves.
With 1/2 PEX barb fittings, nice 1/4 turn shutoff valves for the water supply to the washing machine. We were not able to use the plastic box with a stackable washer and dryer, since there was no area or access to mount a plastic box, and the only place to mount the valves was the walls. In my case, I specifically bought this so that the 1/4 turn valves with PEX fittings can be mounted and the PEX tubing can be clamped to the valve fitting connections to securely secure.
It is made from very thin plastic, both the box and the mounting ears. With drain and water lines attached, the box still feels too flimsy and moves around easily, even after installation between 16" studs. It would have been better if the mounting method were much stronger. It would be helpful if wallboard added.
This item was purchased from Amazon Warehouse at a great price! It's time for a new coat of paint on this old house of mine-.
Among the things I like about this product are the versatility of the 3 drainage punch outs.
Our item does not look like the picture because the pvc needed to be on the side and We refunded the item when it was returned.
