No, it's a lot bigger than that. I recommend drilling a hole through the top plate, pushing the pex through, and then putting the 90 in place. After that, you can screw the center hump or flange to the studs or joists.

It would be nice if there was a low-cost variable bend version where the user could adjust the angle.
Rather than using an elbow, I prefer to use these. The pipe is less likely to burst. Compared to local stores, this is a much better deal.
I could be a little stronger, but I'm 73, so it'd be a lot easier for me. Very pleased with the price; it was reasonable.
