Questions & Answers

I'm not sure what size they're talking about; it says 10" and 10'. Is this a tenth of a foot or a tenth of a mile?

Four of them were purchased by me. It's ten feet, not ten inches, long.

What is the capacity of the load?

This is a difficult question to answer. The answer is that it is debatable. The anchoring method and what it is anchored to, as well as the strap spacing. I've used it with plastic pipe up to 10 inches in diameter and metal pipe up to 6 inches in diameter, with spacing ranging from 48 to 24 inches. I hope this clarifies how the load is divided between the number of straps and the distance between them. Sorry for interrupting, but that's the scientist speaking.

Is it simple to cut?

Yes, this tapes gauge measured thinner than the spec'd gauge thickness, so I had to return it as it would have failed inspection; however, a small pair of tin snips would easily cut it, and large pliers snips might suffice. This tape is still adequate for most jobs. I see it listed as 24, but I believe it was 22 that I ordered, which measured out to 24. Perhaps it was a typo'o that has since been corrected.

Is there a way to find out if the twco554- Is it better to use aluminum or steel for a 3 liter pipe strap? A roll of very thin aluminum strapping is what I'm looking for. ?

The gauge is advertised as 24 gauge, but it is actually 30 gauge
3/5

This is not a 24 gauge galvanized strap, despite the fact that it is advertised as such. I'm installing a water heater in California, and earthquake securing requires 24 gauge galvanized strap. I have 25 feet of 28 gauge and 5 feet of 24 gauge, but I'm going to need a lot more. br>br>I ordered this because it is stated to be 24 gauge and can be delivered in two days. Yeah. or not, as the case may be. br>br>I opened the box and looked through the clear package to see if it was 24 gauge or not. Only "galvanized 3/4 inch 10 feet" is mentioned on the package; there is no mention of gauge. 24 gauge = 0 is the specification for galvanized steel. 28 gauge =0 and 71 mm thick I used my precision calipers to measure 47 mm thick. It's a gauge of 41, so it's 30 gauge. I double-checked with the same calipers, measuring my 28 gauge strap at 0. My 24 gauge is at zero, and I'm 47. 71, both of which are correct according to the specifications. br>br>Look at the product page; it says 24 gauge, and even the title of the review I'm writing says 24 gauge, but the package doesn't say anything about gauge. I would not recommend buying this; if I had known there was no thickness marking on the package, I would not have purchased it. Now, finding 24 gauge is difficult because all of the big box stores sell 28, which is why I ordered this from Amazon. Note that I'm not blaming Amazon; I'm simply suggesting that they rethink the page's advertising and switch to 30 gauge.

I'd had this desk for nearly six months before writing this review, and I'd fallen in love with it. I paid $150 for it secondhand and had it shipped by Amazon. I believe the cost of a new one is around $240. Who cares, I saved some money because I wanted all the extras that came with this desk [34"5k monitor (34WK95), clamp on monitor adjustable arm (*AmazonBasics Premium Single Monitor Stand), clamp on desk lamp (*Phive LED Lamp), pen organizer mount (*Self Stick Pencil Tray), clamp on surge protector (*Tripp Lite Surge Protector), Desk Clamp Binder Clip, adjustable stool (Brenton Studios Jaffin Active Stool), and underneath br>When I bought it used, Amazon stated that it had cosmetic damage, which I didn't mind because the framework was what I was after. The PRICES are accurate! Compared to an electric with a single or dual motor, where I would have to worry about the motor failing in the future, the crank is not difficult at all and only takes a few seconds. (This is a desk I intend to keep for a long time. ) When the motor fails, you must either replace it or repair it yourself. The desk's size was ideal for moving through doors from one room to the next, whereas most electric stand up desks are either too wide or require the purchase of a separate desktop. br>I work primarily from home because I own and operate a small business, which includes graphic design. Working from home has its advantages and disadvantages, depending on your discipline, which can change over time; you can easily become lazy or lose focus due to distractions when you're at home, which is why I move from my master bedroom to another room, to the family room, and even outside to find my zone, or just wherever I feel like working. While working, I can stand and sit, and if I get tired, I can rest my butt on the *Brenton Studios Jaffin Active Stool. If I want to work while watching TV in the family room, I can move my desk closer to the recliner, prop my foot up, and pull out the monitor, which is connected to an *Amazon Basic single arm mount that extends far, high, light, rotates, tilts, and does everything I need it to do. It's the same for lying down on the bed, and adjusting the desk height is as simple as turning a knob. [Even if I have a party at home, I can roll out my desk and use my computer as a karaoke system by using YouTube (type karaoke before the song) and connecting my analog mixer (Yamaha MG06X) and mics (Shure SM58-1) LC) and play it through my living room speakers or my *Altec Lansing ALP- If you're coming in from the outside, all you'll need is a cable 3. Converters from 5 to RCA to Auxiliary. It rocks. To finish my system, I'm just waiting for a low-cost or refurbished soundbar (preferably the Yamaha MusicCast Bar 400) to attach to my monitor on the mount with *Mount-Mount-Mount-Mount-Mount-Mount-Mount-Mount-Mount-Mount-Mount Mount the sub on the left side of the foot of my desk, opposite my stool (Brenton Studios Jaffin Active Stool), using the Soundbar Bracket. br>Even though there are only three AC plugs on the Tripp Lite Surge Protector, I only use two of them, primarily for the monitor (which charges my Macbook Pro underneath the desk using only a piece of wood and mounted with *Mintcraft TWC0534- 1 for the light and 3L pipe strap When I get it, the other will go to my soundbar. My phone, iPad, and Apple pencil can all be charged using two USB ports. I don't need the sound bar because I have two homepods, an apple express that connects to an old subwoofer, and a Sonos Beam that I recently received and can airplay, but I do want sound from a direct connection because my bedroom is limited. I attempted to connect the Sonos Beam directly to my MacBook Pro, but the SPDIF stereo out was removed in 2017, so I was unable to do so. I'm going to return the Beam to Best Buy because it doesn't sync with my music or AppleTV, and I can't justify the price. Returning to the Tripp Lite, it's great because it clamps to my desk and comes with a 10-foot cord, allowing me to plug it in anywhere and have reach without the cord getting in the way. When I moved my desk, I rolled up my power cord and hung it on the *Multifunction Desktop Binder Clamp Clip. I bought a Bestek Surge Protector and mounted it on my headboard; I love it because it has six outlets, four USB ports, and one Quickcharge port. I was thinking of buying another to mount it to this desk, but there are a couple of drawbacks: 1) I'd be wasting the perfect use of my Tripp Lite, which is conveniently located next to my monitor mount, and 2) I'd have to mount it underneath my desk somewhere, which would be difficult to access, rather than on top. 3) The cord is only 6 feet long, compared to 10 feet for the Tripp Lite, which limits my desk's mobility. br>These accessories are responsible for the cleanliness of my desk (at least most of the time when I'm working, not as shown above lol): br>*AmazonBasics Premium Single Monitor Stand – Frees up desk space and can extend far, up, down, tilt, swivel, and rotate to where I need it depending on where I put the workstation. br>*Tripp Lite 3 Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip with Desk Clamp – It's out of the way and stays right next to my monitor stand, with a long cord for portability. br>*Phive LED Lamp – Clamps to my desk instead of sitting on top of it. I can move it around and adjust the arms to fit my needs (high or low). When I need it, it provides excellent illumination and can be dimmed to my preferences depending on the time of day. *Self-stick Pencil Tray – Under Desk Holder Pop-Up Pen Strorage Drawer Organizer – I need to use pens, and this eliminates the clutter of having pens in a cup or pen holder on my desk. It simply tucks away beneath my desk, and when I need a pen, I simply push it in to release the storage case. It's simply held in place with 3M tape, which is extremely strong and ideal for pens due to its light weight. br>*Multipurpose Desktop Binder Clamp Clip – I have two of these. I used to put my pens in a cup and clip it to the binder clip with that cup. I stopped using it because of the storage pencil above, but now I use it to hold my power cord, which I hang from there when I move my desk or clamp underneath it to keep it out of the way. *HyperX Fury S Speed Edition – Pro Gaming Mouse Pad X-HyperX Fury S Speed Edition – Pro Gaming Mouse Pad X-HyperX Fury S Speed Edition – Pro Gaming Mouse Pad X- Large - This is an XL pad that is fantastic. It perfectly fits my desk and allows me to move my keyboard and mouse without having to move a small mouse pad or have my keyboard half on or half off the small pad. And, because I move around at this desk, I can simply move my keyboard and mouse to any corner or center of the desk, depending on my needs. It also serves as a place for me to stow papers.

Mintcraft's 3/4" x 10' x 24 Gauge Galvanized Pipe Strap is made of galvanized steel
4/5

I bought two of these Galvanized Pipe Strap, 3/4" x 10' x 24 Gauge to keep a Hot Water Tank in the attic from tipping over in the event of a tremor. You never know what might happen. The tank is sitting on a pan on a pad resting on a bearing wall, and if it were to tip over, it would topple onto the ceiling joists, separating them from the force of the 50 gallon tank's weight. It would then fall through the ceiling, possibly crushing me as I tried to flee the house before it fell on me! It's just common sense to loop a pipe coming out of the top and secure it to a rafter or stud for support. This peace of mind is well worth the $4 per roll. Good value for money.

This is just plain ordinary plumbers tape, and it works fine
4/5

Surprisingly, it's difficult to come by in stores these days, as plastic has supplanted it. It's exactly what it says on the tin. 3/4 of an inch Longer than 10 ft. It has a good foundation. Another advantage of a roll of tape over a roll of tape is that it can be used for things other than hanging pipe. The advantage of using preformed pipe supports is that they can be cut to any length with shears, eliminating the need for multiple (and more expensive) sizes. It's overpriced; the cheapest seller right now is a 3rd-party vendor with free shipping, but Amazon has it as a Prime product for only a few cents more.

It really works

Hand-held sheet metal sheer is easy to cut and strong enough. Metal is a softer type that worked well for my purposes.

This Galvanized Pipe Strap is a great product that I use all over my property to repair various items

You can't go wrong with this product, but you should always use gloves when working with it or you'll end up with band-aids on your hands. I would recommend this product and would purchase it again if the need arises.
