It's possible to use it for hw, but I'm not sure about steam, which I assume is hotter.
I'd say no because the strapping isn't very strong; I used it to support the insulation in my crawlspace and plumber's tape to support the plumbing.

Steel, copper, and even aluminum pipes are among the materials I have on hand. Some hangers are missing or broken after decades of use, resulting in sagging plumbing pipes. Of course, copper strapping for copper pipes, aluminum strapping for aluminum straps, and steel strapping for steel pipes would be required! Instead, I'll be able to secure all of my pipes with this plastic strapping. And, so far, it hasn't caused any issues when used with hot pipes at around 180°F. I align two of the holes directly above the pipe and tighten a machine screw and nut through the holes for even more stability. It's fantastic! Finally, I've discovered some new non-profit organizations. This item can be used in plumbing as a makeshift way to secure broken household items. Enjoy!.

The steel version is a little more difficult to cut due to the fact that it is made of steel, but it is also in the middle of the road. br>br>Now that I think about it, I suppose most pipe strap is similar. This is a good one, but there are probably others that are as well. br>br>So, since you've already spent more time reading this than you should have looking for a pipe strap on Amazon, I'd recommend purchasing this one.
Plastic straps aren't as strong as steel, but they'll suffice if you use extra fasteners.
It was simple to cut and work with, and it was the most affordable option I found. It's a roll of plastic, so I'm not sure what they mean by warmth.
It works great, and there's enough to last for a long time.
This took the place of the old standby bailing twine, which had been installed by some "Contractor. " It's great to have some of this on hand for last-minute projects. It's fantastic!.
With some finials, small skulls, and pvc pipe, I created a DIY cemetery fence, which I painted black. That is exactly what it is for.
It's sturdy and simple to use.
