Questions & Answers

How do I file a warranty claim or get in touch with customer service if mine stops working?

I'm not sure because I never submitted a claim.

Is the remote waterproof or sealed?

It's not waterproof, in my opinion. Is, however, waterproof. It will not be harmed by a dripping hand.

Will the switch wireless frequencies interfere if there are two of these installed in a three-compartment sink?

I don't believe they will, but I could be wrong. In my kitchen, I have two sinks (one near the wall and one in the island) that do not interfere with one another.

Is this a zero-voltage situation?

I'm not sure what you're asking; it's a wirelessly controlled outlet adapter that allows you to control your garbage disposal or whatever else you plug into it, and it works great. In the controller, there is a battery that must be replaced at some point. The 110v outlet provides power to the device that you plug your appliance into.

Your garbage disposal will be turned on as a result of this
5/5

And Off. Magic!   For my garbage disposal, it works perfectly. Plugs into a standard three-prong outlet (a GFI outlet should be used if the garbage disposal is being used). It does allow you to use the second plug on your duplex outlet, though you won't be able to use a blocky adapter there; instead, you'll need to use a standard plug. On a magnetic base, 2 way tape is very strong. I put mine in the wrong spot and wanted to move it as soon as possible, but that sucker was firmly attached. On the remote, the buttons have a nice feel to them. The remote is held on the base by magnets that are attached to the back of my cabinet door. I'm getting at least 40 yards of range, which I tested by sprinting out into the front yard, turning on the garbage disposal, and having my wife scream at me about how incredibly stupid I am. Your results may vary depending on how much your wife loves you. This bad boy can be used for almost anything that plugs in. For a while, I was testing its reliability on a lamp. I would strongly suggest it.

I really like it

Provides a solution to the issue of "leaving the too- Turn on the garbage disposal quietly. PROBLEM: TOO QUIET ARE TODAY'S NEW GARBAGE DISPOSAL; As a result, I keep forgetting to turn off mine because I can't hear it. The overheating safety feature will eventually shut it off, but you shouldn't rely on it because it will likely wear out the disposal faster. br>SOLUTION: if you are looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the With its push-button functionality, this remote product solves that problem. 30 and 60 second timer buttons Installing it for my existing disposal took me only 10 seconds. Caution: The instructions that came with the unit only explained how to install it for NEW DISPOSALS, so I emailed the company and received the following instructions, which worked perfectly for an already-installed unit. disposal system in place:
1. Please connect our wireless socket to the wall outlet and the disposal plug.
2. When you press the button on our remote, the wireless socket's indicator light turns on.
3. If your garbage disposal isn't working, turn on the air switch. It should start working again.
4. The garbage disposal can then be turned on and off using the remote control. br>br>The problem with the battery compartment: The instructions for opening the battery compartment are confusing, but once you figure out the "secret," it's simple. First, the remote comes with a magnetic wall plate that is attached to the unit, despite the fact that it does not appear to be a part of it. To begin, simply pull this black, circular back-up cord. plate from the remote's back. You'll notice an arrow on the back of the remote now that you've got it in your hand. The remote's battery is hidden behind the back panel. The trick is to figure out how to get it off. The small notch on the back of the remote will rotate the back cover about half an inch counter clockwise to unlock the back plate and allow you to access the battery when it needs to be replaced, but that isn't the secret (Note: not to mention the back-up magnets plate you've already taken out for the time being). The key is to remember the following: After rotating the unit, LIGHTLY TAP the unit on the edge to remove the back cover. To reinstall the rear cover, simply place it back in place and rotate it half an inch clockwise. Directions are inadequate. However, now that you have these better instructions, you should be able to move forward with confidence.

It was well worth the money
5/5

My kitchen was remodeled about six months ago by my wife and me. I came across this while looking for our sink and accessories. Because the back of our sink was already crowded with our sink faucet, soap dispenser, and purified water dispenser, we didn't have to drill another hole in our counter top with this wireless remote. I also noticed that the price was comparable to, if not less than, that of a push button system. br>It's as easy as "plug and play" when it comes to installation. Choosing where to mount the magnetic remote is the most difficult part. Ours is hidden beneath one of our cabinets, which I have mounted. The remote is thin enough to be hidden by the cabinet's bottom lip, and the magnet is strong enough to keep the remote in place; I haven't had any problems with it falling out of the holder. There are divots in the buttons, which are recessed. So, once you've memorized the bottom placement, you'll be able to feel all four buttons and know which one you're pressing without looking.

After a month, the job was no longer available
3/5

The remote stopped working five weeks after purchase (I missed the return window by a few days). I replaced the batteries, and it began to work again, but a series of strange things began to occur:
1. Occasionally, it would begin on its own. It felt as if there was a ghost in the house. Plus, when it does turn on, it does not stop. So, unless we hear it and turn it off manually, it will continue to run indefinitely, or until the disposal device overheats.
2. The remote would frequently not work at all, or would allow me to start but not stop the device; the only way to turn it off was to manually press the plug's button or unplug it entirely. br>br>I'm not sure if I just got a bad unit, but I clearly wasted my money on this and will have to throw it away.

Simply plug it in and go
5/5

Installation entails unplugging the disposal from the wall, plugging this device in, plugging the disposal into the device, and then plugging the disposal into the device. It is easy to operate. To turn it on or off, press ON, OFF, or choose 30sec or 60sec, and it will turn off after 30 or 60 seconds. The OFF button on both can be used to stop them before the cycle ends. Just make sure to turn on the original switch (the one that turns the disposal on and off without this device) or plug it into an outlet that isn't controlled by a switch, such as the one where the dishwasher is plugged in, because they're usually both under the sink. br>br>This device is magnetically attached to a "holder" that can be attached to any surface using the 2-in-1 adhesive. It comes with a double-sided adhesive and its own magnets. br>br>The only thing I wish was that the 30sec and 60sec buttons could be customized or set to shorter times. On a regular basis, who runs their disposal for that long?.
