We were fed up with our countertop soap dispenser breaking and causing us inconvenience. The question was, "What do you do with that hole in the granite?" A plug is unsightly and screams, "We have a hole here!" We have a large pass-through rate because of our large pass-through rate. The garbage disposal shutoff was installed in the cabinet below (9' wide) over the kitchen sink. So I came across one and decided to try it. br>br>Then the decision had to be made: do I get one on the cheap and hope it still looks good a year from now, or do I invest in something that will last? There were a few that were prohibitively expensive, which I turned down. There are some inexpensive ones, but in my kitchen, I've never seen a plastic plated to look like solid metal item last very long or look anything other than cheap after a short time, and our soap dispensers' plastic parts were always the ones that broke. br>br>So this seemed to be the sweet spot, albeit at a slightly higher price than I would have preferred, and it was solid brass, which I prefer. I had to rewire the switch to make it an outlet, and then I needed a pigtail plug for the disposal because I had hardwired it into the switch when I first installed it (note: For a disposal, use 14 gauge wire rather than the cheaper stuff). I crawled under there, installed this, connected the air line, installed the air switch under the sink, and plugged it in. br>br>It works beautifully, appears to be of high quality, and even my 21-year-old daughter likes it. year- Walking by, my 12-year-old son remarked on how nice it looked and asked if he could have one installed in the house we're almost done remodeling for him. It's well worth the money, and best of all, my wife thinks it's fantastic. There are no issues at all. It has a high quality feel to it and a high quality appearance.

Many of the online reviews for various manufacturers' hardware complained about how cheap and low quality it was. The fittings were described as "brass. " The entire push button, as well as the pipe fitting, was made of solid metal. The Champagne Bronze finish (which we requested) is stunning. It took me a while to figure out that to turn it on and off, all you have to do is push it flush with the trim. We were under the impression that it needed to be pushed all the way in. It would then stick and be difficult to work with; It turned out to be a simple case of operator error, and knowing to simply push flush to the trim allows it to be turned on and off with ease. It also takes a little pressure to push the button in, which is good because it would be difficult for a toddler to push it in and turn it on (we don't have kids yet, but it was on my mind). This unit has a 1 exterior trim. 75" x 1. 75". There were no reviews with that information, so I had no choice but to take a chance; I was able to cut away some pieces of trim from our cabinet with some basic power tools, allowing it to fit perfectly. Just a heads up: on some split sinks, there's just enough room on the cabinet face to fit it in. As a result, you'll need to measure three times to ensure you're centered correctly so the pipe fitting aligns with the sink spacing.

The materials used to construct this switch kit are extremely sturdy. The threaded part appears to be solid brass, and the gasket, washer, and nut appear to be of high quality. I only installed it a few weeks ago, so I can't comment on how long the finish will last, but it appears to be well-finished and, based on my first impression, will withstand wear and tear. The switch functions perfectly once it has been assembled. The switch has never failed to turn on or off in all the times I've used it. I'm glad I bought it, and I'm confident you will be as well.

Beautiful and of excellent quality. I haven't installed it in our new home yet, but I showed it to our electrician, who was blown away. This is a well-made and attractive piece of hardware. The weight and quality have me very impressed. It's one of those minor details that adds up to a significant difference.

It was relatively simple to set up. In fact, removing the old home improvement store model was the most difficult part of the project. It's a lot more durable than the previous one. It is more solidly constructed. It's a big improvement over the one where the escutcheon broke and there was no way to fix it. Also, having color options is fantastic.

There were no instructions in the box, which was open. We were left to our own devices to figure it out. It's a good thing we were getting a new one to replace the old one.

This product was installed on a new kitchen island, and the square design went perfectly with the faucet and soap dispenser, both of which were of similar design. I would have preferred that this unit be hardwired, but that is due to the fact that my island is still under construction. The unit comes with an outlet to replace the one you're plugging it into if you're working on an older building. It appears to be very sturdy, and I don't expect to have to replace it for a long time!.
