The original Delta metal clad hose which I had been using for 14 years started leaking when I purchased this new hose in Dec 2020. Installing this hose was fairly straightforward even though it uses a one-way valve as some of the others have mentioned Rather than having to pass a piece of fitting through the hub, you can foot it through the fitting). Pulling it through this way required some garden wire, which I used as a pull cord. There is also one other thing I want to mention despite the fact that the Amazon picture suggests that this hose comes with the oil, the hose actually doesn't come with the oil Both ends of the hose come with o-rings, the hose I received only came with the outer ring It has a ring for the end of the spray wand. As a result, it didn't come with the instruction booklet The ring for the faucet ends under the sink. It had already been anticipated and I had purchased the correct Delta O-ring at the same time The Delta RP 13938 ring (3 for less than $5 from Amazon) is part of a set. It would be great if you could replace that one There are rings. There's no need to worry about heavy hoses with this hose. The best part is that it is clear-cut Unlike the original hose, it does not have a heavy metal coating.
As a result of leaking from the factory hose, I purchased this There was no difficulty installing it as some reviews lead you to believe. It is true that the coupling is different from the factory hose, which makes it a little harder to fish through the faucet assembly, but there's a method I've found that works really well. I installed it by tying the coupling to a 24" section of strong string and applying some silicone grease to the coupling after it was installed. As I fed the free end of the string through the faucet assembly, it ended up exiting beneath Next I reached under the sink and gently pulled on the string with one hand and gently pushed the hose through the faucet assembly with the other hand. The hose fed through the faucet assembly relatively easily, though you may have to work it back and forth a little. A small "O" ring was supplied with the hose to go on the male side of the coupling where the water enters. It is a good idea to install the hose connector ring before putting the hose on. In order to install the new ring, I applied a little bit of grease and gently laid the new ring on top of the old one while gently prying it off with a small knife. Be sure to install the plastic lock that slips over the coupling and water inlet when installing the coupling. Once the sprayer wand part of the faucet is installed and the weight on the hose underneath the sink is in place, the project is complete. For assembling the box, I used silicone grease, which was what I had on hand. You could probably use personal lubricant (KY Jelly or baby oil) as well The faucet hose appears to be of very good quality and is able to move into and out of the faucet assembly much more smoothly than the factory hose did. Whether or not it will last is a question only time can answer.
Even for senior citizens, we received the order by late evening on Wednesday and Friday, and it was fixed quickly! Thanks a lot Amazon! The replacement product is just what I needed.
Because this hose is better than the hose that came with the Delta faucet, here are a few reasons why The first point is 1) less expensive, 2) smoother It slides more easily through the nozzle housing than its metal counterpart, so it is less likely to get stuck. 3) It is easier to install than its metal counterpart. Simply spray a thin layer of silicone lubricant on its exterior and it will easily slide through the nozzle restriction area.
A Delta replacement hose is a fraction of the cost of a genuine OEM model. It consists entirely of plastic, including all of Additionally, the diameter of the hose is smaller than the originals. Similar to the original hose from a few years ago, this hose also comes with a number. A brass fitting and the original diameter of the pipe. I love how well it fits and I appreciate how well constructed it is. I highly recommend it.
I am very satisfied with how this has turned out. They are metal on the ends, and they are very sturdy. They are metal instead of plastic (Delta's are plastic and can break) and also, since they are metal, the hole inside is a little bit larger. The result would be about 20-25 The amount of water pumped has increased by 30%. In particular, you will be able to see it when you spray. I bought this hose, but Delta sent me a brand new hose as a backup I will keep the one Delta sent as a spare or back up.
There were no changes to the length of the item. I found the installation to be quite straightforward. As far as I could tell, I ran into problems with the new hose when I attempted to feed it down the There was a problem with all the water lines going through the sink, so it got hung up there. Looking up from the bottom, I was able to find where the obstruction originated and was able to pull the hose through by using a small hook tool.
However, the Delta part number matched the original faucet's connection to the fitting, so the faucet did not work even though the number matched. As you can see, the bore of the original hose was larger than the stem of the faucet fitting, which sealed on the ID of the latex tubing. The item was returned to the store.
