I have updated Our vendor, US Skygenius, was written to and we explained our situation to them. In the construction of our house, we decided to get a pull-down In our contract it is listed as an "up" faucet, so when it broke we returned it for that part. Upon phone conversations with the vendor, we realized that we actually DO HAVE a "pull-out" The faucet should be turned off. After reordering the new part, it has been detected and it works flawlessly (see third photo). It was our own fault the first part did not work, but the vendor here was great in helping us get the right part. I wanted to update the review to let everyone know that the first part was not working for us, but that it was due to our own fault. We plan on sending back the part that they wanted us to keep, because we aren't able to use Currently, I am in the middle of a dispute with the builder, but am past the point where they could do anything about actually getting what I bought. It looks like the Sky Genius braided hose has more or tighter braiding than the Moen coil hose. It was leaking from the Moens original because there was a hole under the braid in the rubber hose. I should have heard about this 3 years ago, but if the braids are really reflective of rubber hose inside, it should last much longer than my last one. I was able to replace my Moen pull down kitchen faucet with this purchase.

Hoses for pull out (not pull out) kitchen faucets from Moen can be replaced with this one. The instructions did not come with it, but the internet provides a lot of information. For my faucet, it was a Hydrolock connector that required two tabs to be pushed together to remove the old hose so that you could insert the new one, and then the button on the other side for it to lock in. I transferred the tape from the old hose to the new hose since there is no marking on the hose showing where to attach the counterweight. In addition to what others have said, Moen will replace the hose for free with their lifetime warranty, but it will take one to two weeks to arrive,.

The length of the hose was almost exactly the same as the genuine Moen OEM hose, but the metal end cap that goes in the under sink quick release fitting was different, it did not leak, but it did require me to jam it in there to ensure it was seated correctly. As you can also see from the first two photos, I measured the old hose and the new hose together in lining up where the hose weight attachment should go. I found that my Moen faucet cap nozzle fit onto the new threads of my new hose, however it may not retract completely flush back into the carrier, but it fits 98% of the way.

I replaced my faucet with this one, and it fits The only difference I see is that the old part had to be tightened with a wrench at the sprayer head. This one gets hand tightened onto the plastic threads, so no tools or tape are needed. end goes, it is a cheap, plastic clip that is easily unlocked by hand and can be reused multiple times. If you have an old hose, make sure you turn off the water first - there will be some water left over. It will be interesting to see how long this lasts, but I was very satisfied with the new Moen Replacement hose kit and would recommend it to others.
