I find that Kohler's style of connection to be a little difficult to work In a video posted online by Kohler, it shows how to remove "collet connections". The entire hose needs to be pushed up, then the white plastic tabs are held in place, and then the hose is pulled My muscles were in a state of stress as I had to pull harder than I expected. It took a couple of tries to get it right, though. As a "just in case" item, I purchased a new plastic collet. We got insurance at a low price. The source of the original Kohler can be seen above the two hoses in the photo with the two hoses. It is easy to see that this replacement has a more standard hose fitting style washer, which is situated inner to Kohler nozzles require that you remove a part from the end of the nozzle before you can use this. A metal plate is attached to the rubber washer in this hose. To reset the metal plate, I had to remove the washer and thread it back into the metal plate. I wish I'd known ahead of time some things that I wish I'd had known, and I hope I've pointed out a few of these for others. Overall, the hose worked fine.

This is not a genuine Kohler part! I believe this to be a knock-off of a real product

Kohler uses the kohler part number, but that is not what you will receive. Do not purchase this item unless you want an inferior part that costs nearly the same as the real thing.

A lot of people have said it is great to have a replacement hose. This is because of the "quick disconnect" feature of the collet. During the same time that I watched the video on Kohler's site and read comments there There was no way to unplug the cable. We can't I sprayed directly around and in the disconnect area. The hose just came right off after that. It was then smooth sailing for the rest of the trip.

It is frustrating to see the horrible design of the collars by Kohler

It is a terrible design to use a Koehler Collet connection. Their video makes it sound like it's easy to replace the collet pull down hose, which it is, if you've never used it. There is a hard water scale on the old one that is widespread across the United States, so it is difficult to get it Kohler does not have any instructions or videos available on how to deal with a seized collet, so I'm stuck with the old one not out of the faucet. Buying anything Kohler again will never be a good idea!.
