Since this part is purchased from Delta Faucets, if purchased from us, it will be an OEM (original equipment manufacturer)part.
The wrapping wires do not seem to be in the right place in the plastic fitting. My faucet fitting fell apart while trying to repair it for the first time. Carefully insert the wire retainers into the plastic fitting so it will "snap" into place when it is attached. That went a lot better than I anticipated.
