I think it would work well with cast iron pipe. The flexible fins seal well, and it is easy to put on/take off. This is a requirement of Raising the floor 3/4 does not mean what I think it does.
How you set up your flooring may determine what kind of floor you have. It doesn't matter if it's a porcelain tile, a lvp, or anything. In my bathroom with a tile floor, I have used this product and it worked great.
In order to mate it to an old lead bend that was damaged at the top, I used a fabricated clamp. The gasket sealed up the pipe after the broken lead was removed. The only real issue would be making sure that the mounting points were This would cause the mounting to be off as well if the pipe were out of alignment. Canister the fitting is smaller than the gasket, so the pipe might be able to pass by the off plumb pipe while the gasket seals it. Just my thoughts I'm not an expert.
There is room to mount it inside existing 4" pipe. If the old flange is above the finished floor, you'll need to remove it. If the old flange is flush with the finished floor, you can simply slip it in.

It's perfect for new installations - just slide the flange in and slide it in. The sliding flange has a greater degree of flexibility, so you can adjust the final fit of the sewer pipe. A few months ago, I was installing a new bathroom, and since I used the traditional glue-up PVC flange, I promptly broke the traditional flange when I needed to adjust the sewer line a few inches. Since I did not want to redo all my lines, I looked at this flange, read the reviews, and decided it was right for me. I've been using it for a couple of months and it works great It works great, there is no leakage of fluid, no smell, and it doesn't stink.
While the red part of the toilet pipe stayed in the pipe, the whole flange came out with it. In this case, I'll just use traditional flanges glued together. It was disappointing. Rather than the bigger one, I used the smaller.
It can be used to repair a broken flange or to raise a flange that is too low after installing thick floor tiles.
Installed easily and does the job very well.
The inlet to this system was cast iron, and the installation took place in an older home. It worked great for my application using the flang and collar.
