PVC is my favorite type of plastic. The installation was easy, and the product is very durable. A good seal is formed.

An old 1930s commode had a lead construction running down from its brass flange--I uncovered it when I lifted it In the course of its removal, it ended up being destroyed. Since I was reinstalling the same bowl, I needed to replace the lead piping with a new flange. This one came with the extended pipe length replacing the lead pipe. I used this unit for a 4 inch diameter pipe. It fit nicely in the pipe, and it was easy to tilt and twist it up, so the rubber gasket expanded and sealed against the pipe. This unit provided a solid support for the closet bolts as well. The vintage fixture could be installed and seated properly with the help of this seater. Simple and efficient to operate. Turn the rubber gasket to expand it by inserting it into the drain pipe, tilting slightly to ensure it gets a grip. As the flange unit tapers toward the flange end, the gasket expands to provide a tighter seal, which is how the flange unit tapers to a wider outside diameter. I created a nice installation that is stable.
The other day I had a I was pleased with the fit of this flange. cut off a 4 inch cast iron sewer pipe at about floor height from an old 4 inch iron pipe. Having applied plywood and vinyl tile after it was set, the thing tightened in the sewer pipe and after it was screwed to the floor, was remarkably solid.
Although I have not measured this item, I believe it to be quite large. Clearly drafted, this is an excellent piece of work I was able to create an The only thing I had to do was cut off the old flange, twist the new ring into place, press it into the pipe, and turn it until it was snug. You will also need to install four There is a lot of strength to this product. don't think this item expanded more than 1 inch diameter however, I certainly don't measure. The seal between my toilet and the drainpipe is now very tight and I don't think I will have to replace this item again anytime soon.
As a matter of fact, I know almost nothing about DIY home repairs since I am not a professional plumber. In any case, as soon as I removed my old toilet from the floor and removed the old broken flange, this one went on so easily that I didn't even have to use the concrete bits to drill into my floor as I had been hoping to avoid doing. tightened, so I didn't have to do anything else to it. As far as durability is concerned, not sure but it seemed very dense plastic, so hopefully it will last for a long time. (review by 33 year old woman, no prior repair experience).
The tool seems to have worked perfectly, but I don't know how long it has been working. A lead pipe was broken down to a depth of almost 3" deep. In order to repair, the plumber would need $2000 dollars. It is a good alternative for a lower price. So far it has worked well.
The software is extremely user-friendly.
I recommend them for use on new plumbing or on older pipes that do not need to be re-welded.
I love the way it works! Thanks so much!.
