After a year on my wish list, I finally purchased it, and I must say that the vacuum works well and, as others have stated, has some excellent attachments. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the mounting for my application was a pain, and I had to buy self rappers to finally get them to seat in the metal 4x4 post I mounted behind my wood. And the unit is much smaller than I anticipated; I was expecting something roughly twice the size shown. Finally, the hose sticking straight out the front is a nuisance; I wish it was on one side or the other, but this is easily remedied by unplugging the hose after each use. Apart from that, it's performed admirably for the first night; I didn't do anything special with it, just played around with it. It's very quiet, as everyone else has said! I only wish it was a little bigger, but it's made in the United States, which is pretty cool considering where I live. In any case, vacuum maid did an excellent job!br>br>I would buy from them again!.
DO NOT SPEND THE MONEY ON THE BELIEF THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE A BETTER PRODUCT. You're not one of them. The suction on a vacuum cleaner is terrible. I installed it in my garage and purchased a metal hose spindle separately. It looks fantastic! Not even a leaf can suck it up. I bought a Bissell shopvac and hooked it up to my 50-foot spindle hose, and it sucked everything up. When you put your hand over the hose's end, it suctions it right to the hose, just like you'd expect, but the vacumaid didn't. I did, in fact, close the suction lever. In the end, the suction on the vacumaid is extremely poor. Because of the high price, I expected it to be very powerful, but the bissell was half the price and a hundred times better. I'd return the vacumaid if I had the original box, but I don't have one.
I like how long the hose is and how well it works. The hose hanger, a flimsy piece of plastic, is entirely to blame for the loss of a star. To install it, I had to purchase a real hose reel, but it appears to be working now. If they had a tool organizer rack as well, that would be fantastic.
This vacuum cleaner has been in my garage for four years and is still going strong. I've used it to clean up a variety of messes and have always been satisfied with its suction. The hose is a bit unwieldy at times, but it's extremely durable, which I believe is to be expected with a hose of this length. If you enjoy having a clean garage, I strongly advise you to buy this.
I live in a 900-square-foot apartment. ft. garage and purchased this vacuum to clean around the garage (particularly the floor) as well as for any other cleaning needs (i. e. automobiles). Suction is efficient and effective at completing tasks. I'd like more suction, but I'm guessing that due to the length of the hose (50'), some suction will be lost. I'm guessing that a unit with a shorter hose will have slightly better suction at the hose's working end. Overall, it's been a great investment in terms of keeping the garage and vehicles in good working order.
The unit is fantastic. I wish there was a clamping system and a tighter lid seal. The seal on my unit is a little questionable but seems to be sealing ok for the most part. The overall build of the unit is excellent and it appears to have a lot of power which is only limited by the hose size. It's easy to install and appears durable. Even with the hose restriction created by the 50-foot hose and the lid seal issues (mine usually seals up when I tap the lid, but I doubt this is an issue with all units), I think it's a great unit for the money.
I use it on a daily basis. The hose is long enough to clean the entire garage as well as the outside vehicles. It is extremely quiet when it is running. It doesn't tremble in any way. It's flush against the vertical wall, flush with the ceiling. After that, I went to HD and purchased a garden hose hook. The hose is securely hung out of the way after five long raps. A fantastic way to save space. This is by far the best investment I've made in my garage renovation. Ten out of ten.
This vacuum is simple to set up and comes with all of the necessary accessories, as well as a long hose that allows you to vacuum your vehicles well into your driveway. This is the second vacuum I've purchased for my new house. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
