Questions & Answers

Is it necessary for me to use a disposable filter bag? Is it obligatory or not? (I'm vacuuming my car right now.) ) The user manual appears to be a bit hazy. ?

My husband was having the same problem and contacted the vendor. For dry pick-up, the filter bag is optional (wet pick-up does not require it). If you're trying to vacuum up very fine dust from a construction site, for example, the bag could come in handy. After speaking with the supplier, my husband decided not to use the bags for cleaning the outside redwood deck, gutters, garage, car, and other items, stating that "bottom line, you don't need the bag, and not using it has no effect on the shop vac." He does not, however, do construction or work as a contractor. I hope this information is useful. This is an excellent product that we enthusiastically endorse!

What is the vacuum's water-picking capacity? Is this going to be enough to soak up the water from my dripping vehicles on my garage floor?

Yes, it does a fantastic job of collecting water. It's a huge improvement over the Craftsman it's replacing. It also has a drain, which eliminates the need to remove the top and tip it over to empty it.

What country does it come from?

Although made in China, the quality is unmistakably "DeWalt." Mine is one of my favorites.

Is it possible to vacuum the interior of a car with this?

Yes. I've used it to vacuum out my truck numerous times. The attachments aren't quite as small as I'd like, but the suction power is so strong that vacuuming out a car is a breeze.

5/5

You'll have a good laugh after seeing this. So, in preparation for all of the project clean-up at my house, I gave in and purchased a shop vac. It's a DEWALT 9 gal 5 amp shop vac, not just any shop vac. So, after a little putting together, I decided to put it to the test! It works. Very well done. Several swaths of carpet were ripped from the floor. After that, I vacuumed up the spilled cat food from their tiny shelf. My IRON pedestal as well as mortar were present. It's what I use to mix herbs and other things. The masher itself is about 2 pounds. This monstrosity of a vacuum sucked it right out of the bowl! I got too close to the living room curtain while shaking the hose in an attempt to retrieve my masher. yup. You've probably figured it out by now. SLUG! SLUG! SLUG! SLUG! SLUG! SLUG I have the impression that I am in a movie as Grizwald. It was impossible for me not to laugh. It was hilarious to the dogs. So, yes, this is a powerful shop vacuum. I have a feeling this isn't going to be the last chapter in this saga. This beasty comes highly recommended from me. Just don't let it get too close to the curtains!.

Suck- rama! This vacuum was designed to replace a top-of-the-line vacuum from another manufacturer

heavy monster with a vexing proclivity for tripping. This is a significant improvement over the previous design. br>br>The first test was a total gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross gross out. It was a six-hour process. Hardened (but unused) cat litter had clogged the inch shower drain. (Please don't inquire. ) ) To maximize suction, I had to break up the litter with a long, thin metal rod, place the hose's end on the drain, and then seal the uncovered portion of the drain with my hands. (By the way, the drain grate is a century old. ) It was impossible to remove those screws because they were permanently fastened. ) Now, let's return to our original story: It took me an hour and a half to finish. The drain is now clear, but it took an hour. and the litter had been piled to a bend 12 inches deep. So that's what we're talking about in terms of suction. br>br>The second test was conducted on a rarely used second-generation computer. screened porch on the second floor that had been abused by 100 years of sycamore tree debris. Rice-sized tree seeds could not be removed from the screening in the past. THIS HAS BEEN THE CASE UP TO THIS POINT. Two months ago, God, in his infinite wisdom, took that SOB in a windstorm, inspiring me to clean that damn porch. All of the seeds were removed from the screens with this vacuum - The final step before we can start using this space. It also picked up a lot of stray sycamore leaves and bark without becoming clogged or losing suction. Here are some of my favorites: br>br>

- The tank will come towards you if you pull on the hose. That is: It doesn't collapse like R2D2's sad face.
- The casters are large, durable, and non-marking. blemishing and securing with self-adhesive tape Screws are tapped.
- The bag for accessories. This is something that God will bless. My old unit had storage for accessories on the tank, and they would pop out whenever the unit fell over - This was the case for almost every use. The bag is deep and wide, allowing it to hold more items than it originally did. I like having extra space to stow an extension cord and spare paper bags, and it's very convenient for keeping the instructions with the machine. It's also big enough for the two extension wands to fit in.
- Quiet for the time of year. My hearing is similar to that of a dog, and loud noise causes me physical pain. This thing does not require earplugs. I'll use them regardless, but I don't think I need them.
- Brush bristles are on the floor attachment. My old vacuum had nothing but hard plastic that scratched and made a horrible screeching noise. br>- The hose is held in place for storage by a strong rubber keeper. The power cord is neatly tucked into the carry handle.
- There's a lot of wet-weather storage in nine gallons. I have a dry vac, which is more than I require. But I needed to get the cat litter out of the drain, and only the larger models had the necessary horsepower. Getting the tank up and down the stairs is a bit awkward, but the carry handle is solid and well-made. designed. The tank also provides the heft that prevents the unit from tipping over, I believe.
- I hope I never have to deal with a water emergency, but knowing that a plug at the bottom allows for easy drainage is comforting.

There are four screws that are used to mount the accessories that were not included in the box, which is poor customer service
3/5

After two months, the manufacturer's customer service number and email address have not responded to my calls or emails. I contacted Dewalt as well, but received no response. The manufacturer, Alton Industries, and the company that puts their name on the product, Dewalt, provide poor customer service.

Sucker, you're a loser
3/5

I have over 20 Dewalt tools and adore them, but this vacuum is well-made but lacking in power. A 1/4" steel washer will not be picked up from the floor. Very let down. The operation was quiet, but the suction was poor. Even after removing the filter and giving it another shot, the results were still poor.

This wet/vac combination is fantastic
4/5

We do a lot of work in the construction industry. We have a 16 gallon craftsman, which is perfect for my husband, but I wanted something a little more compact. This is it: lighter and more powerful suction. Moving around is a breeze for me. The hook-on attachment bag is one of my favorites because it keeps my attachments close at hand. When you put the electric cord away, I like how you have a place for it to wrap around. I only gave it four stars because (1) there is no place to wrap the large hose. 2 The electric cord isn't quite as long as I'd like it to be. BUT it's well worth it to put up with those two inconveniences. Yes, I would advise this to women in particular:.

It's a big one
4/5

I ordered this from Amazon because the local big box store didn't have it in stock, and given the size of a gallon milk jug, I suppose I should have expected it to be fairly large - It's a nine-gallon tank, by the way. However, it served my purpose admirably - It also packs up nicely in terms of design, which is why I was willing to pay a little more for this brand and unit. It's a little loud, but then again, what sweeping machine isn't? br>br>The smaller diameter of the hose and hose extensions compared to previous sweepers I've owned was my only concern. It's not a big deal; it just means I'll have to pick up a few larger scraps by hand. I believe that with light home use, this unit will last for many years.

At the same time, he is calm and powerful
5/5

This creature is both peaceful and powerful. I'm glad I didn't go out and buy another shop vacuum! The only drawback is that the power cord is too short; I had to use an extension cord to keep the attachments where I needed them. The bag, on the other hand, is perfect for keeping the attachments where I needed them when I needed them.

The best vacuum cleaner I have ever used
5/5

The best vacuum cleaner I have ever used! Suction is extremely strong and can pick up even the tiniest particles. I used to have a ShopVac, but it's nothing compared to this DEWALT product; DEWALT is the best!.
