I purchased the 12 gallon version, which is fantastic! I was expecting it to be more powerful, but it still has a lot of suction despite the fact that the hose is only 2 inches in diameter. I quickly vacuumed up my filthy workshop; previously, I had been relying on a dust buster that had failed miserably. If the normal extension attachments aren't enough, the angle attachment can provide a lot of suction. But it has plenty of power; I'm not sure why I was expecting more, but it had no trouble sucking up everything I threw at it after a few minutes of use. For work, I do a lot of electronics repair, and I have these stupid 5/24v relays that always fall on the floor and get stuck in regular vacuums, but this thing sucked them up like nothing. I'm very pleased with my purchase, and it was only $92! Furthermore, it appears to be well-designed and constructed; all you have to do is screw in six screws, four for the wheels and two for the accessory holder. After I'm finished, I unhook the hose and hang it on the wall, where it rolls right under one of my work benches. I'll keep unhooking the hose because I've had nothing but bad experiences with shop vac hoses. They always break, and there's no suction at the end where the accessories go.
It's big enough to handle bigger spills but small enough to move around the house. The following are some examples of typical applications:

Coir expands by at least four times when soaked. I attempted to soak a 10 pound brick in a plastic tub, but when I realized how much it was expanding, I rushed it to our kitchen sink to finish. br>br>This worked fine until I found myself with a full kitchen sink of water- I wanted coir sludge for my front porch. If it got out of my yard garden, it'd probably do a lot of harm to my sink drains. br>br>The shop vac is called in - I relocated the entire sink in just two trips. Vacuuming the coir outside was simple, as was emptying it through the bottom nozzle into a strainer outside to separate the coir. The shop vac did such an excellent job when it was finished that there was no trace of the previous massive mess. When I was finished, I flushed the vacuum filter outside with a water hose, let it dry overnight, and it was ready to use the next day. This product is exceptional because: br>br>
- It's built to last, and it's worthy of the DeWalt name. br> Its volume is large enough to hold almost any household mess, and it doesn't need to be constantly emptied or used for spot cleaning. br>- Despite being a little bulky due to the large container, it's very mobile thanks to the wheels. br>- If the extensions are used to hold the small tools when not in use, the attachment bag is fantastic for storing all attachments and the bundled cord (so you can roll it out and back up without getting hooked on things, etc. )br>br>I use this thing at least once every three days for something - It's one of my favorite things to do. It's a multi-purpose tool that's a must-have for any homeowner who enjoys getting dirty while still maintaining a clean living environment. It is extremely useful. I would strongly suggest it.
I don't usually write reviews, but I've been slowly making the switch to Dewalt, and I now own their tile saw, miter saw, table saw, and now this wet/dry vacuum. If you're used to craftsman, ridgid, or shop vac, you'll love it. I'm a tile contractor, and tile/thinset mortar is the most difficult to work with, but all of their products have proven to be durable in my line of work so far.
vac. The four screws for the tool bag, which are well above the maximum liquid fill line to avoid corrosion and leaks, are the only screws screwed through the drum and exposed from the inside. The oversized on/off switch isn't cheap, the cord is long enough, and the cord wrap is strategically placed. The tool storage bag is tough and holds all of the tools included, plus a few extras. The heavy-duty hose that comes with the vacuum is heavy-duty, and the rubber bungie on the side allows you to wrap the hose around the body of the vacuum and secure it without having to tie it in a knot like other brands. The casters have rubber-coated wheels that roll smoothly and allow you to drag the vacuum by the hose with ease. Considering the suction power it provides, the motor is surprisingly quiet. The latches on the powerhead are solid, and they engage positively and firmly. Big-box store vacuum cleaners are designed to break down - This vac is built to last, and while it was a few dollars more expensive than a comparable Rigid vac, I'd gladly pay the extra for something as well built as this.
It does the job, but it's a shambles. I wish my wife had not thrown away the box because I would have returned it. It was a huge let down.
This was an item with a shattered box. It turned out perfectly and saved me about $40 in the process.

The money spent on this shop vacuum was well spent. It's a component of my sawdust collection system for me. It's easy to maneuver and comes with a variety of useful attachments.
