It wasn't really necessary. Then my washer broke and flooded my living room, dining room, and kitchen with about 30 gallons of water. And a wet/dry shop vac quickly became the coolest thing in the world. The suction head did a fantastic job of sucking up the water and had enough power to remove about an inch of water from the floor. This is fantastic. At a very reasonable price, Consumer Reports and other online sources have given it high marks. The only thing I can think of to make it better is a 5' power cord. lengthened by ten feet When there's a lot of water on the floor and an extension cord isn't an option (thankfully, I have outlets *everywhere*, so I could just keep moving the plug). In general, I'm very pleased - Even if it's just for the sake of having one, everyone should get one.
This vacuum has incredible suction power. It's a good weight that's easy to move around. As a product, I'd give it five stars, but the vacuum should come with at least one proper attachment for cleaning corners and tight spaces; if they did, I'd give it five stars. increase the number of superior attachments.
Update: I was able to work around the issues I mentioned in my previous review. Take, for example, br>* When I empty the collection bucket, I rinse out the filter. This appears to keep the float switch from tripping when it isn't supposed to. br>* Instead of using the drain plug, I pour out the bucket. br>* When I empty the collection bucket, I clean the squeegie head. br>br>I purchased this to vacuum dirty water from a concrete floor, but it was ineffective. The float switch would turn off the suction even when the collection bin was empty, which was a major problem. This appeared to happen as a result of the wetness of the foam. The vacuum filter became clogged with froth, causing the float to be pulled up by the vacuum's own suction. This is a design flaw in my opinion, because vacuuming frothy liquids (e. g. , milk) is difficult. Overflowing washing machines) should be a common occurrence. br>br>The squeegie nozzle attachment was also a disappointment for me. Hair and other small debris quickly clogged it up. In addition, it left a significant film of water on the concrete's moderately rough surface. The last few drops of water were better absorbed by a mop. Finally, removing the drain plug causes a flood of water that is difficult to control. I soaked my own shoe when I first emptied the bucket. The water splashed everywhere the second time I held the bucket directly over the mop sink basin.
The vacuum's leakiness and color appealed to me. It was very simple to put together. I vacuumed my sunporch, which gets a lot of use and was filthy. Following that, I used it to clean out my debry-filled air conditioner. The vacuum's only flaw was that the extension tubes didn't stay put very well.
The suction and blower on this shop vac are excellent. I like that the extra tools come with a place to store them on the sweeper. The power cord is nicely wound up. It didn't come with a crevice tool, which is the only drawback.
There is a huge vacuum- suction power- At my power saw table, I use it to catch wood sawdust.
This vacuum cleaner is incredibly effective. I recently remodeled the interior of my home, and this vacuum made the clean-up process a breeze. The only criticism I have is that the first time I tried to put the liquids filter on, it ripped apart. It was simply made in a low-cost manner. The rest, on the other hand, is fantastic.
The vacuum was broken when I received it, and it will not turn on. Sure, they said I could return it, but I'd have to pay shipping of $20. It's absurd that you have to pay to return something that is broken.
