Instead of sending me a new RugDoctor, they sent me a used one, which I am disappointed about. I am not completely dissatisfied because Amazon makes it simple to return items purchased on their website.
It's been used before, and I paid a good price for it, but it's been used, so it'll most likely be returned because I'm not happy with it!.
Mine arrived a little over two months ago. I ordered it from Amazon and received it the next day, on time, with no packaging issues. Everything is fine; I decided to put it to the test to see if there were any problems, and it works flawlessly. It's a vast improvement over the previous version, which died on me just a few days ago. The construction appears to be more durable as well; after all, it costs twice as much as my previous one. One flaw I discovered is that if you need to wash and reinstall the filter in the dirty water tank, it's a little awkward to do so. Now I'm noticing that a few customers are complaining about how wet it was when it arrived. This is due to the fact that it is thoroughly tested before being delivered to you. Mine was on the verge of being wet. I had previously purchased one from the RugDoctor website about 5 years ago, and it came with water as well. It served me for over 5 years and never died; the front plastic came off while I was moving it around the house, and I decided to junk it because the repairs were not worth it. I am not an appeaser for the rug doctor. Simply put, I am a happy customer. I also have a portable cleaner that, due to a crack in the hose, has recently lost suction. I'll take care of it. I had to buy a new hose from eBay because the rug doctor's website was out of stock, and I couldn't wait for it to come back in. I have been a happy customer.
I won't be bringing other people's dirt into my house because the previous renter didn't clean it before returning it to the rental center. We have a lot of pets, so I can finally keep my carpets clean and fresh smelling. Of course, it functions flawlessly. This is THE BEST carpet shampooer on the market. br>br>I noticed that some reviewers stated that their units were clearly pre-owned or customer returns because they arrived with water inside. Because each unit is tested before shipping from the factory, there may be some water in the unit, according to the documentation that comes with the new cleaner. It all makes sense.
To begin with, it was shipped in double cartons, both inner and outer, which were extremely well protected. The instructions were simple to read and understand once they were opened. I attempted my first try after familiarizing myself with the handle's working parts and control switches. I turned the unit on after filling the clean container with hot water and a small amount of the Rug Doctor carpet cleaning solution that came with it. The machine was easy to operate; going forward was a little easier than going backward, and the solution tank held enough for about 36 - 48 hours of operation. I cleaned a 40-square-foot carpet. Everything worked as it should, including the warning light that indicated the clean water tank was empty, as described in the instructions. The outcome was astonishment personified. The water sucked out of the carpet was held in a tank that was almost opaquely black, and even after vacuuming the carpet before using Rug Doctor, the powerful suction pulled more hidden dirt and particles out of the carpet than vacuuming had.
I decided to rent the Rug Doc Deep Cleaning machine first and then purchase one if I was satisfied. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it cleaned. The vacuum motor is built to last in the industrial environment. I decided to purchase one because it is a heavier machine. I'm glad they're available on Amazon. It's great that I don't have to rush to the rental and can just get it out of the closet. That way, rather than trying to clean the entire house in a 24-hour period, I can focus on small areas. Rental for one hour.
These were my rental units 25 years ago. br>I mostly have hardwood floors, but I do have a few rooms with carpet, and I'll be doing my grandfather's and other relatives' carpeting as well. If I rented the machine, I'd be concerned about what it might have cleaned. br>I've completed two massive rooms thus far. The carpeting was about 20 years old, and it still needs to be shampooed before I'm happy. The carpeting in my grandfather's house is 5 years old and not overly soiled, so it will be spotless and nearly new after just one shampooing. I would have had to go through the hassle of renting a machine five times if I had not purchased my own machine, which comes with a five-year warranty and requires only that I pay for shipping to the company and they pay for the unit to be returned. If you're interested in purchasing one, do yourself a favor and do so.
The spray in the hand tool, on the other hand, is 10" wide and bulky for pickup. This wasn't a brand new thing! br>Came with a full tank of water, a pump, and a hose. br>The detergent box that came with the package had been opened and was empty. br>It was obvious that the machine had been repackaged.
