Attachments come in three varieties: One brush for the edges, one brush with bristles, and one brush without bristles.
For all dry applications, I would use a bag and filter, but for wet vacuuming, I would remove them. My point of view, and there are bound to be differing viewpoints.

It really works. The price is reasonable. This book comes highly recommended.
To get around, I need an extension cord.
Cleaning the ashes from the pizza oven, removing cobwebs from the outside, and cleaning the rain gutters are all easy tasks with this shop vac. It's light and easy to transport. I have yet to use it as a wet vac.
