It's still an excellent choice
4/5

I have an older model of this 4 gallon model that I adore. However, it is beginning to show its age, and I needed a new one for the shop anyway. The suction and long cord are the best features of these, and they follow you around the house without tipping over like a stand-up model would. The majority of smaller models do not provide 5 horsepower. They've changed a few things, but none of them, in my opinion, are for the better. I read a lot of reviews, and some of them said it wasn't worth the money. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. It's still a good choice if you need a portable vacuum with suction power. I despise having to put the tool caddy together. I had no idea that the caddy's wheels were attached to it. Because I wanted to keep the size of the vacuum as small as possible, I never used the caddy on my previous one. One reviewer expressed his dissatisfaction with the ease with which his wheels turned. One of mine, on the other hand, does not freely spin. I believe it will break in and loosen up over time. My old one had two front wheels, which I prefer to this one's single front wheel. However, I do not believe it is in danger of tipping over as a result of this. The hose appears to be less expensive, but it could be made of a different type of plastic. It will work fine if you don't bend or kink it; I had to replace the hose on my old one after about 5 years of ownership. It is also more costly than the previous one. But nowadays, that can be said of any item. As prices rise, so does the quality of the product. My wife prefers the tool caddy, so the new one will be kept at home while the old one will be taken to the shop. It is much more appealing to me. Years have passed since the on/off switch on it was replaced. Fixing it will be a pain; I have a replacement switch but have never used it. The switch still turns it on and off, but it's so loose that it's easy to accidentally turn it off while using it. I'll poke it with a toothpick to keep it from turning off while I'm using it. I should have bought a second vacuum a few years ago; it would have been the same as my old one and at a lower price; however, I bought it now because who knows if and at what price one will be available in the future. I was tempted to give it three instead of four stars, but I decided to go with four because it is still a good option for this type. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. I can't give it a 5 because of the mandatory caddy, the sticky wheel, and the higher price. My previous one received a perfect score of five out of five. Even though the switch is broken, I still enjoy it. I could have gotten a better deal at a Hardware Store during holiday sales, but there is no craftsman dealer anywhere near my town, so I had no choice but to buy online. These are as good as any other brand I've encountered for a low-to-the-floor, 4 gallon vacuum with good suction. The 20-foot cord is also very useful. Craftsmen is no longer a brand name that I recognize. But, despite the fact that the quality should have improved over time. Hopefully, it will last as long as the previous one.

Suction is good, and the unit is easy to put together
5/5

For my ten-year-old house restoration project, it has exceeded my expectations. With a lot of scraping and sanding, I'm restoring old trim, doors, and windows. I have an old hand-me-down that I'd like to pass down to you down 6- My 30-year-old gallon Craftsman shop vac is finally making noises that I can't fix. I bought three filters, one of which is a HEPA, and I was happy to see that this one uses the same size! It's been a few minutes since I set it up, and it has better suction than the old one. I'm not going to put the wheels on it because I use it from atop a bench or on doors because it rests on horses. This way, I find it more stable. It's back in its box for the time being. br>br> Because the old one is still working, I'll have one for each work area now. And these doors are tough on vacs, so I'll stick with the old one for the time being. I like how long the cord is! br>br>I like how long the cord is! This is a huge bonus. There is no need to deal with an extension cord. br>br>Due to its oval shape, this will be a little different than empty. Maybe. Maybe it's just me, but I'm getting a little carried away. It's on my mind.

This isn't going to be a problem
3/5

Hose kinks are a common occurrence. It was a waste of money. I've had good luck with other Craftsman Wet/Dry vacuums, but this one is useless. There's no way it has a suction power of 5 HP. Because the hose is so narrow, it frequently becomes clogged. When you bend it, it simply kinks. I've never had such a bad experience with a Craftsman product. Not even half the price is worth it!.

The first time I used it, I fell in love
5/5

I own two huskies and have hardwood floors throughout my home. My dogs are wonderful, but the hair and dirt are a nightmare! When I bought this, I had already gone through three hand-held small vacuums. It appeals to me. The suction is so strong that it lifts rugs, and it picks up hair and dirt with a single swipe. My house, which is about 1200 square feet, has a long enough electrical cord that I don't need an extension cord. The suction hose is long enough for me to move around freely. Even when stuck on a cord, the machine follows me around corners and does not tip over; it simply rolls over. I do have to assist it around corners. I really like it, and it's a great way for me to keep my house clean, as evidenced by the fact that I have a clean house. I showed you the finish I use on my floors in the photo. Years ago, I bought it separately, but I still use it because of the soft bristles that do not scratch the floor.

When cleaning the garage, there were no tools and the suction power was poor
3/5

Item that has been returned. Only one tool was included in the package, and when I tried to clean the garage floor with it, it barely sucked up a leaf. I was not impressed and returned the item the next day.

Storage is poorly designed
3/5

It's a good little vacuum for the price and size, but the little side sleeves that hold the pole attachments don't hold the poles AT ALL. It's impossible to make them stay put. It is impossible to move or roll the vacuum without it falling off. This is a terrible design.

Vacuum cleaner that is dependable, small, and powerful
4/5

A powerful shop vacuum in a small package. Lightweight and portable, with plenty of storage space for your tools. Excellent for cleaning up the garage or basement on a regular basis. I purchased a second one for my daughter's apartment. However, it's probably not what you're looking for in a workshop that gets a lot of use. Would have been five stars if the floor attachment was wider. The floor brush that comes with the package is only worth $5. 25" wide, which is adequate for a car vacuum but insufficient for extensive floor cleaning. I have to use a 10" attachment from another vacuum, which, fortunately, fits the Craftsman's fairly standard tube (all attachments are friction fit).

The layout is excellent
5/5

It's well-made and effective. You have the option of using or not using bags. The bag is light and portable. However, br>br> br>The hose is difficult to store. on - the unit. There is a mechanism in place to do so, but it is ineffective. There's also room for the hose's two "hard" extensions to be stored - Each one could be 30 inches long - However, because you can't store the vacuum on its end when you use it, you have to store it on its wheels, which takes up more space than it would otherwise; finally, the vacuum has a pocket where you can store the nozzles, but it's just a pocket, and they fall out easily. br>br>So, if you have a lot of space to store it on wheels, you'll enjoy this vacuum.
