Questions & Answers

How well does this work on the Dewalt dwe7491 RS ?

The answer is unknown. But I use it on my little Dewalt DW745 as well. I can make close, accurate cuts much better with this one than the plastic toy that came with the saw because it fits and is much heavier and looks weird, but it fits and is much more useful than the ineffective "toy."

When it comes to bar length, what is it?

The total measurement from the face of the gauge is 5".

The miter gauge does not come with a manual. Can I get one?

This is a large and heavy item
4/5

My DeWalt table saw (a very good saw) came with a toy miter gauge, which came with a rattly aluminum bar. I have been wanting to replace it with an aluminum bar since I bought the saw. There were a lot of ads, and I read a lot of reviews, but in the end I ended up choosing an Incra 1000. Although I could see it was extremely precise, I wondered if it was much more stable than my old one when cutting off heavy or long It took me months to get used to the 109 dollar price tag as well. When I saw the ad for the Woodstock D3123 I was blown away. In the end, I decided that after reading all the good and bad reviews everywhere on the internet, I should purchase the product. I'm going to start by saying that this thing is really heavy and BIG. The stability I was seeking seemed to be offered by this method. I have had a chance to play with it since it arrived today. There is a lot of weight to it, and it is big. I don't understand how a saw so big could fit on my hand. I actually like it overall, despite the fact that it is a bit Carburator cleaner cleaned off the mucky greasy stuff that went on my carburator when I received it, and it arrived covered with a thick layer of cosmoline. I applied paste wax to the bottom of the reclaimed piece after it slid somewhat loosely on the table saw. Despite its accuracy, it isn't smooth enough to appeal to the eye. I began by changing my technique at first, but it was really just a change in posture. Rather than holding the gauge with my left hand and wrapping my right hand around the gauge, I needed to wrap my left hand around the gauge and push it with my right hand. This gauge is very sturdy and will hold its position pretty well. There is an accurate machined fit in the body of the gauge, which rotates around the base of the long handle. I quite like the knob because it is big enough to tighten down well and hold its setting firmly. Using the hex screws, the bar can be bulged out in a couple of different places in order to stop it from rattling in the groove. I like it more than the Incra, but it's not as elegant. It has a crude adjustment scale, like on any miter gauge. Surely the Incra would provide very accurate settings, but with this one I think I'll use a digital protractor and it should work just fine. I figure the mass and size of the thing will allow very accurate work Because the blade is closer to the face and has a larger size than the blade, it should be easier to cut smaller parts, but should still be handled carefully. The pros are There is nothing like it, it's HUGE, heavy, and solid. The cons are That's heavy, and maybe even a little crude as well. The whole thing has been satisfactory and I'm happy with it. Now that I've found my perfect miter gauge, I can start cutting.

You need a heavy-duty miter gauge like this! There is nothing better than this miter gauge
5/5

In my 14" bandsaw I have grooves in the table which makes it easier to hold steel stock and I wanted a heavy duty metal miter gauge to keep it steady. As requested by the doctor, this is exactly what he requested. With the rigid casting, the weight is lighter and the travel is more accurate. There is an easy-to-operate handle that is right at the right place. The rubber was in perfect alignment with the groove when I placed it in the groove and I applied a little silicone, and it glided over the groove like it was intended to. My guess is that the previous customer complained about the bent over indictor due to its thickness, which is 1/8" of hardened steel. A bend in that thing would not happen by I feel like a drop onto the floor or a direct hit with a hammer is going to be sufficient to cause it to crack. If you look at other miter gauge indicators, you will see that they are pathetic little plastic pieces or thin metal strips. There is a lot at stake here. It was the first thing I did to align it squarely. I flipped over the gauge and pushed it up against the table. When the indicator was almost at 0dgs, I went to get the set screw out of the grip, moved the indicator just a tiny bit, then reseated It's not too difficult. Heavy work, steel cutting, or cutting large timber with this type of miter require this type of miter. Anything lighter might bounce around or just get damaged. As a result, this indicator is not as precise as it should be. As such, if you require the ability to make fractions of a single degree, I would suggest using another gauge. Even so, this will still make good accurate cuts. I envision using it on a professional (about Up to $ 00) type table saw or on a metal/wood carving Note The Grizzly name is not attached to crap, so this has to come from them. With this fence, you can be sure that you're getting a fence of exceptional quality for the money. Unfortunately, the pictures here do not give you an accurate idea of how heavy and quality this gauge is. This transaction has been a very positive experience so far as it pushes metal into my bandsaw with a lot of confidence. This is a five-star rating.

I can't use it with my Ryobi 10" table saw, but it's still a good quality product
5/5

Today, I received my copy in the mail. The saying "it's heavy" is not idle talk- It is necessary. I like this thing very much. It turns out that I measured my table saw miter slots incorrectly due to being an idiot. I couldn't use this miter gauge because it was too large. The Ryobi 10" table saw from Home Depot will not work with this. To measure the miter slot, you'll need a miter gauge that fits a 3. 5" wide x 1/4" high opening.

A solid foundation
4/5

I like this miter gauge because it's heavy and well made for the price. Despite what I said, this is not a perfect product. The knob/screw/washer that secures the adjustable angle setting is a weak link. Remove the knob/screw, discard it and the stupid washer, and you'll have a tool that will last a very long time. Purchase some socket head cap screws and some heavy washers, sized appropriately, and this tool will last for a very.

A heavy load
5/5

With this, I can get precise cuts with my shaper since it is well-made, heavy, and can be set. To cope cuts and for cutting the ends of T and G rods, it was quite helpful I think G flooring is the best. This is exactly what I wanted.

This is a super heavy duty model
5/5

received the miter gauge to use with Miter Set Segments on a daily basis, and it has been efficient all day. The miter bar is heavy so if you intend on regularly using it, get ready for a workout. I punched the center hole in the bar with a hammer, and the slot on my table saw was perfect with no play.

I love how heavy this miter gauge is and how well it works
5/5

There are several jigs I can use to mount on it, and it works well as a base for my router table and table saw. It's just a matter of not dropping.
