The Jet scroll saw was an upgrade from my old Skill scroll saw when I retired and I upgraded from a good idea in theory, but failed to deliver with the product

The blade install will have auto tension adjustment which you will like. When doing center cuts, you will absolutely love how quickly the blade reattaches. Jet recommends that you bolt the Saw to a table, but they do not provide bolts with the Saw. The bolts could have been included in the price of the unit, which is what I paid Jet. It is still necessary to feed the blade through the table top, regardless of what the ads state. The majority of ads show a cutting cut on the front of the table through the top of the blade. It is forced to feed the blade through the slot due to a stop about an inch from the front of the table. Problems occur when the blade is connected under the table. It makes sense that Jet should have a slot so that you can slide the blade in without having to see what you are doing. There was no luck at all. Although you'll likely get used to it, you just have to put up with it and persevere. In addition, the device frequently pops out of its place, which is unfortunate. As a final feature, the blade holder has a set screw. If you wish to hold the blade in place without it bending, you must adjust this set screw. Could Jet lose all its money if they included with the holder a 12 cent hex wrench? In addition, the company I bought it from was slow, if not completely unresponsive to my service requests when I was trying to resolve the blade-holder issue. The set screw was unknown to them. I never received a reply from Jet, and Steve Good was kind enough to step in to help. If you want to save a couple hundred dollars, it would be worth buying the Dewalt with the aftermarket lift. Purchase a Seyco instead if you want to spend a bit more. Although Jet has a good idea in concept, they have failed to deliver on it.

This one is worth buying, so what do you have to lose? Scroll saws are awesome, and this one is no exception! Setting up is easy if you follow the directions

Purchasing new tools from Jet is a dream come true for prosumers and professionals alike
I upgraded from a craftsman with which I learned. For beginners, this saw is not really suitable, mostly because if you only want to make a few things and then stop, then you should buy a less expensive When it comes to scrolling, this is a great saw that will last you a long time.

I gave it 4 stars because I feel like it vibrates too much at the highest speed, and I have it mounted to a heavy cabinet with As an alternative, I put sound deadner (yes, you heard me correctly Search for Noico) for my cabinet and for my saw, and you will see dramatic improvements. If you want to fix this problem, you could also purchase the 21in Jet (but it costs 400 more)

This saw is also made in Taiwan, at the same factory as Seyco and King. The current Excalibur looks like it might be a good deal, but do not go for it. At this time, that saw is made in China and the quality of its manufacturing is not as good as Jet, Seyco, or King saws. The Excalibur was not made in Canada, so you should look it up on Google.

The best tool on the market

Despite being new to scrolling, I am not new to woodworking as a whole. a great reputation in the industry and I already own a drill press from them that I really like. Due to my research on scroll saws on the internet as well as my previous knowledge of Jet, my choice was a clear one. With this saw, I have the same high quality and it performs beautifully. I haven't had much experience with this sort of saw yet but I am very happy with its performance.

The quality of the product is excellent

I am pleased with the quality of the scroll saw. There are no hiccups in its operation. My scroll saw has been mediocre for so many years that it makes me sick to my stomach. I would recommend this device to friends, because it fits my needs, and I can quickly change blades when necessary.

A TOOL LESS approach is not acceptable

The blades can NOT be changed without using a tool. As a bottom feed sawyer, you are forced into it. The ad in the middle of the page says it is toolless, but you can change the lower clamp to make it more toolless.
