Questions & Answers

Is this a product from the United States of America?

It's not made in the United States; instead, it's manufactured in China. I'd like to believe that in the United States, we'd never produce something so low-cost. My advice is to invest your money in something that will last more than one project. My apologies!

What kind of blades does it use, and how big are they? Blades with a T tip of 5"?

It's the 5" t-shirt, of course. blades at the very tip You can choose from a variety of blades - a term that can be applied to a variety of wood species or other materials.

Can we use it to cut plywood with a die?

It's unlikely. My copy was returned to me. It's a piece of garbage.

Is it possible to use a regular blade with this saw or does it have to be a pin blade? "Plain," one response said, while "pin type" was another. I'm not sure what to think. ?

Plain and pin blades can be used with the saw. The adapter for the plain blades, however, must be ordered separately. "WOODEN TEDDY BEAR" is where I get mine.

You should be cautious about what you purchase
3/5

If you purchase this saw, exercise extreme caution! Since day one, I've had a run-in with them over the table top insert, which sits about an inch below the table top. Any fine cutting you do hangs up 1/32" below the table top, requiring you to lift it up and pass it over the rim. Because they couldn't understand what I was saying, I explained the situation and sent a picture. I received two replacement inserts, both of which were about 1/32" too short; I'll copy and paste the last email I received from them, and you decide. Your work is stuck on the edge of the ledge. I just checked a Dremel scroll saw, and it, like DeWalt and Craftsman, sits flush. I believe I should attach your emails to your Amazon product reviews. The RK7315 has an even surface in your Amazon photo. Your solution to the issue is completely wrong.

Cheap tools should never be purchased
3/5

I should know better at 70 years old; I've always invested in high-quality tools that will last a lifetime, but I needed a fretting saw for a one-time project. I did a part-time job at our local museum as a volunteer. I didn't need to spend any more money on a tool that I know will outlast me. I was cutting diamond-shaped mounting holes in 1 inch thick wood (a difficult task, but the saw advertises its ability to cut up to 1 1/2 inch stock), and this tool didn't even last the duration of the project. I was taking it easy and slow, but the blades kept cavitating and snapping off the small mounting pins on the bottom of each saw blade. I used up an entire package of new blades. After all of the blade changing and cutting block mounting, the yellow tensioning knob (on the back of the upper arm) broke where the set pin goes through the adjustment bolt, so I now have to loosen/tighten the blade tension with a small vice-grip. I gave up on this saw and completed the project with a 1/8-inch band saw blade. It was a complete waste of both my money and, more importantly, my time.

I wish I had ordered a better one after reading the reviews
5/5

However, once you've received it and started using it, you'll be able to tell if it' I read the reviews after ordering this Rockwell and wished I had ordered something better. However, after receiving it and using it, I am extremely pleased with my decision. To reduce vibration, I placed it on three pieces of vibration damper, and it is perfect. I do a lot of scroll saw work, and this saw is ideal in every way. It is something I would strongly advise anyone to try. My previous scroll saw (of a different brand) lasted 25 years, but I'm confident that this one will outlast me. My eldest child After I'm gone, my grandson will enjoy it as well.

Final inspection needs to speak with the manufacturer! For lack of a better term, the "foot," or "the part that holds the work down," was uneven, resulting in the following: Bolts must have been put in by machine because one side clamped on the work and the other did not; I was able to remove the part by tilting the table and, with the help of a vise and a vise grip, loosen it, reassemble, and level it

It's wonderful to finally be able to use the guard!.

I wish I'd spent a little more money
3/5

This thing vibrates like crazy (bolt it down or attach it to a scroll saw stand), has a flimsy material fork (no solution yet), and the insert is a little shallow, putting it about 1/32" below the table (build up some masking tape on the underside of the insert to raise it a little). Furthermore, the knob that holds the material fork in place vibrates loose very easily (I removed the safety shield because it gets in the way of fine work anyway and that helped), the blade easily goes out of square with the table (just keep an eye on it and reset it every now and then), and the table only tilts in one direction, making certain bevels more difficult (reverse trace the pattern on the back and cut the material upside down). br>br>In short, I w.

Rockwell RK7315 When it came to finishing touch work, cutting small pieces of stock, and so on, I thought this would be the cat's meoww
3/5

br>However, it vibrates so much that the stop that holds the work piece comes loose. Because of the vibrations in the unit, you must continually adjust your work piece. You get what you pay for, as with everything else. I wish I could get a refund for my money.
