Having to deal with a reliable saw is essential to my construction work. When I used this saw the first time, it didn't cut straight the head rocked from side to side rather than cutting 90°. My old Dewalt standard miter saw takes up a bit more space. The miter lock handle on my Metabo arrived broken, but Metabo replaced it at no cost to me. There was a small error with the fence, which needed to be addressed. However, the manual does not explain how to do this, so I figured it out on my own. There is a safety button on the saw handle that is hard to press when you are using it with your left hand. The laser is bright and easy to adjust. I was worried about the quality being affected by the hitachi buyout. As of yet, there is no evidence that it will happen. In the history of chop saws, Hitachi has always made the most convenient and easiest to square machines. A trimmer's dream at a great price.

Having replaced my Dewalt with this Metabo, I am very pleased with the product. It is awesome to have a new saw like this. Although the box was quite damaged, the contents were in good condition. We just got it thrown down at our front door by the delivery guy. It was, however, not damaged in any way. The next time I see this, I would do so.
