It is true. A saw of this type would be able to perform that task. A month ago, I used this model to cut 4x4 for a table leg, and it worked just fine.
With a cutting capacity of 2 inches by 4 inches at 45 degrees, the DWS713 will be able to cut steel pipes.

Aluminum can be cut by the blade This is not a saw that is designed for aluminum and I'm sure there are some pieces of aluminum, such as thick pieces, that could cause damage to the blade. Make sure that the blade you are using is better suited to the material you plan

Due to the positive reviews, I went ahead and bought this saw, thinking it would be easy to use and not require adjustments. There was a mistake in my thinking. Dewalt saws need to be adjusted before being used. I've owned several of them and had to adjust them all. This saw's fence is not square to the saw surface, which is an issue I've had with every Dewalt saw I have owned. If the blade is set at 0 or 90 degrees, it is square, but not if it is set at 45 degrees. Would it be easier for me to try a different brand or go through the hassle of adjusting the saw?.
The Dewalt saws are exceptional, as are all of their products. Only negative thing I can say about the miter saw is that it isn't equipped with a shadow line or laser, which i consider to be standard (at least with lasers) for most miter saws, even Specifically, the shadow line should be standard on all Dewalt saws since it is exclusive to them. It's time for Dewalt to get its act.
There is a 12 inch model that is more common, but this 10 inch model is good for the garage or for remote work. I really like how light and powerful this is. Adjustment is quick, and the detents are solid. The blade is good. your plan is to cut a lot of fabric, a fancy new blade may be a good investment. I like it a lot.
One reason cause me to be very disappointed with the saw is that it did not meet my expectations. It is hard for me to change the saw blade, so I chose to change it as soon as possible so that I could get started working on my flooring project using the right blade. The directions are very clear and help to understand what to do. On the other hand, you cannot change the blade. While I have been using the provided tool to replace the blade, I am unable to do so. To help you correctly turn the screw, the instructions are even imprinted next to the screw so you will know which way to turn it in case you cannot read them correctly. As a result the screw is stripped and I am unable to change the blade since it is so tightly glued on that it will not It was disappointing.
It was easy to put together, it's in a nice color, and it was.
It was evident to me (I saw). It was a victory for me. With a name like Dewalt, you know this tool will be reliable, well-made The saw is well built and has a high level of precision. It can execute highly technical cuts as well as basic cuts and angles. This device can be easily mounted on a variety of stands and is not particularly heavy or bulky to move I guess you could say it comes basically fully assembled and ready to go. The packaging is thoughtful and effective. I would recommend this vendor 100% and would buy from them.
My only experience with it is that I just received it and have already used it once. This device is very safe to use based on its safety features. With no problems, I carried and set it up myself. The accuracy of this statement cannot be attested at this time.
It's amazing how safe it is! My new one isn't quite as loud as my old one, but it's still loud. You can cut through it like butter with a warm knife! Oh my gosh!.
