Questions & Answers

Can this saw be used with 120v AC as well?

You cannot choose an AC option with this.

How tough is this saw to be used on a daily basis to install ?

There is no question that the saw can handle the job- What matters is whether your battery can last a full 8 hours (which is what I consider to be a full day). This works for me using either a 60V 6ah or a 90V 9ah battery.

What kind of laser line does this saw have?

As far as I know, my saw does not come with

The saw is hooked up to an extractor, but how well does it collect dust?

As a test, I hooked mine up to a cordless makita vacuum and it surprisingly worked well. It left some dust, but far less than if I didn't use it.

Selected User Reviews For DEWALT DCS361M1 20V Max Cordless Miter Saw with DEWALT DW7114PT DEWALT DW7114PT 40T Precision Trim Miter Saw Blade, 7-1/4"

Despite its high accuracy rating, this is a good truck saw for work, just missing a little bit of intensity
4/5

The saw I recently bought was from a big box retailer. A small battery operated saw was needed because I did not want to use my Festool Kapax on my better fence stand, because it is a beast. I also have an abundance of Makita 18v tools, but found the price of a similar battery operated saw to be outrageous. As a result, I set my eyes on this little guy as well as the Milwaukee, which is similarly built. This saw is the winner in my book for two reasons first it has the best price in the class, and, it is also the best price in the class. I am not prepared to invest an outrageous amount on a saw that I won't use full time. * * *When you open the box, you can see that the saw is fully assembled and that it comes with a table hold down, dust bag, charger, There is no battery in this size. pleasantly surprised that it also came with a 40 tooth blade

The saw came with a two bar charge, so I let it fully charge and then took it out and tried it out on a small piece of cabinetry. There are many guys as well as friends in my circle that use 12" Dewalt saws, and as much as I think my Festool is far superior, I am jealous of the shadow line because lasers just suck and the shadow line works so I like this feature a lot. On a piece of red oak hardwood flooring, I cut some test cuts. The first cut was impressive because the blade rotated fast enough and did not harm the wood. The blade also did not have issues cutting through the dense wood. Once you've cut both ways on a 45, you've got good cuts and a We now come to One way bevel is the only way to use this saw. Ultimately, I don't find this to be an issue, but it could be for a novice who is not proficient with cutting backwards or In the 45 degree bevel cut the oak did not cut square, so I tried again with a plung cut and then again with a bevel slide, and the result was the same. I suppose it's possible a bad saw brought this about, but I do not believe The crew I'm working with has this saw and I'll try the same thing on one of ours, somewhere down the road. I'm not planning on using it for anything but toe kicks, scribes, and today I used it on an overhand cut. The saw is a good addition to my toolbox on the whole, and I think it will become a staple. You can't go wrong investing a small amount of money because the convenience factor is worth it. Even though I already have a few, I think I’ll be buying a few more for my other trucks as well. It is a very powerful saw, so it will be enough for any small job. My only wish is that it would bevel on a square. This is an ideal tool for working on small trim projects
5/5

My larger Makita and Bosch Gravity Stand are both suited for larger projects, like a joist, but for trim, I used from my collection of older Craftsman Miter saws with plywood and horses because they were easier to maneuver. In terms of power and efficiency, the Makita/Bosch combo is impossible to beat, but it is heavy and bulky. I really like the Dewalt, which is easy to set up the bevel or miter, and it makes accurate cuts. With the new Dewalt saw, you can utilize the compact stand. The system is easy to install and move - A ladder can be used to carry it up a flight of stairs to set it up closer to the work area.

The saw I own is awesome
5/5

As a contractor, I don't work full time, but I normally do odd jobs around the house or to help out friends when they need it. The saw I own is awesome. This device has plenty of power for 2X8's (largest I've used) and I have no problems with battery life. It has never occurred to me to try to make 100's of large cuts in one charge. Since it is so portable, it does a great job on trim cuts.

You made the right choice
5/5

Since 1985, I have been a contractor I will be retiring gradually as I finish the renovations of When it comes to my main arsenal, I rely on Bosch, Dewalt, and Makita. I needed a portable sliding miter saw for my project. I find this saw to be a great second saw for portability on the four levels from the attic to the basement. The best decision I have ever made. This product, as well as all the Dewalt products I've purchased so far, are highly recommended. The pros are Values and Portability - A balance of good and bad The weight is okay, the ergonomics are good, the battery / power ratio is good, but there are some cons A rough edge is present on the original blade Afterwards, I replaced it with a 60T Diablo blade, and I am very happy with the result. Therefore, not really a Con of that tool, but a courtesy failure on the part of DeWalt. Please take note It comes with an alignment that is slightly out of alignment, but may be rectified very easily The indented arced plate is held in place with three screws in the back. Remove these screws and the plate can be moved to align with the square against the blade. It is highly recommended for the purpose for which this tool was designed, although there are some.

Clamps are of no use to anyone
4/5

The pro's are I liked how compact it is & how well it performs I found the miter saw to be lightweight in comparison to my previous miter saw. There is enough power for everything. I also appreciate the smooth cutting! Those cons are There is no point in using Material Clamp! The most horribly engineered part of the commute that gets in the way as well. It is very difficult to secure & maintain Hold on to your position! Because of this, the accuracy of the report is compromised. Please accept my apologies for not prioritizing this.

I found it to be extremely For my basement, I purchased this to frame it out
5/5

That project has yet to be begun, but I had a small project to complete before then. The fact that I could cut boards anywhere on my property with ease and convenience made my life easier. The only thing I've used it for is cutting 2x4s so far. My complaints have not yet been heard.

Weighs a very little and is very I work with Makita platforms 18 and 36 volt for 90 percent of all of my work tools
5/5

The company I was considering also carried the Bosch Compound miter saw, which was heavier than what I had. I read reviews on everything from Makita to Milwaukee to Ryobi to Dewalt, and the one that stood out from the crowd was the Dewalt. I also bought a second 5 amp battery to go with it. It is light in weight and cuts with ease. In order for the fence and blade to square up, a few adjustments were needed out of the box. The featherweight will be an excellent addition to my collection at less than 31 lbs. So far, I think I have only used it for 25 hours, but so far it has proven to be a very good saw. The site is well worth taking a look at.

This is great
5/5

Especially if you have a large 20 volt ecosystem, this saw is going to be great for you. Across all the tools I have, my battery stock includes a lot of 20v batteries. Despite having to change batteries for my projects, I have yet to have to do so when I need to make cuts. Here's a hint If you can avoid it, don't discharge your batteries beyond 2 bars if you can. Lithium batteries will last a lot longer if they aren't My cabinet toolbox has all batteries rotating one by one at the same time to ensure that they are all cycled at the same time.
