Currently, most Makita power tools sold in America are sold by a U.S. company called Makita. Buford, Georgia, is the place where they are assembled. In addition to being manufactured in Japan, the parts are made in Europe as well Seeing as many of my Makita power tools are beyond their ten-year shelf life, I still see them as a really high quality product The age of 15 years. The most recent addition to my arsenal was the Lithium impact driver and drill combination from Tools that are awesome
A compound (as the product name indicates) bevel can be achieved by using the tool. A saw head can be tilted 45 degrees right and left, and the table swivels 45 degrees right and left. The unit cuts 90/90 pretty well out of the box, though the fences will need minor adjustments to make precision cuts. A right triangle is included to help with setting up the machine. The process will take about 30 minutes to dial it in just right for you, but once you have it in the right place, it will hold its setting through many cuts and moving around. *br>I think it is a good, solid saw that will stand the test of time for many years. The one I have has been with me for a couple of years, and I do not intend to replace Then and now.
The start was not soft, but the saw-- Does have a brake to bring the vehicle to a quick stop
I did not order it for me, it was ordered for someone

The cuts are perfect and repeatable, with a 90 degree angle, and very smooth. bought this to replace my 12" Kobalt miter saw because it was difficult to cut straight, I tried and tried to prepare the fence but the motor shakes the saw so much that each cut is slightly different, and making 45s is no fun at all. I did a lot of research to find the best miter saw that is currently available. After I took this Makita out of the box, I didn't have to adjust anything, and I got perfect cuts. The decision I made was the right one for me.
The miter saw I purchased is very good. I have found it to be very accurate in cutting fine details and powerful enough to go through any wood I have put it through. Connect a shop vac to the sawdust collection bag so you sweep up less when using the broom. By connecting the bag to your dust collection system you can catch more and the broom catches the rest. It is easy to use the scale, and the stops are positive. It has an admirable finish. It is a solidly built structure. Currently there is only one tightening screw provided for the hold down clamp that must be removed from one side to use on the other. The screw mushroomed after clamping the hold down bar and should be ground down to a rounded terminal end to prevent damaging the threads. It would have been nice if the package had included two screws for tightening.
I liked the saw for the work I do in my current shop, it's very accurate and tight. The motor starts with a kick when it starts, so I would like it to have a soft startup. You should replace the blade with a 100 tooth one if you are going to use it for trim or cabinet work. The 30 tooth one is fine for 2 x. Overall, this is a Makita, and they continue to produce the best mitre saw in the world.
I don't mind that, as it means I don't have to wait for it to spin up before getting to work. The LED light appears to have blown out on the same circuit, but I am not sure - Despite being inexpensive, the light was of poor quality. A decent blade is included with the set. The app feels like a professional tool, but I can get by with it as a hobbyist. A good sign that this is a tool built to last is that the manual includes instructions for replacing the motor brushes.
This saw is great. The first time I used it, it was very accurate. There is also a Makita thin kerf blade (80 teeth) which makes glass-like cuts. If you slow down just a bit, you'll get cleaner cuts, as some of the pros have said. One improvement I would suggest could be that the handle is set pretty far back (behind the motor), so when you pick it up to move it, it falls forward out of balance. Still, if you think it would be better if it were farther forward, then you're right.
While growing up, I used my dad's makita over a quarter-century old on the job site and the dewalt miter saw on the job site. It's a good choice to go with either brand. But I prefer the electric power of this Makita. The power is smooth and strong. You can also reduce the size and weight of the dual bevel/slider, but they are more expensive. If you don't mind paying almost double, this is the one for you. After reading reviews and checking out other models, I waited. It would have been so much easier if I'd bought it right away.
From the box, this saw looks like a Makita product. Compact, it is heavy enough to be stable, and the machine work is beautiful. The bevel angle of the cuts were perfect at 90 degrees, and there were no cross cuts or 45 deg cuts that required an adjustment on my part. You should also consider buying the table vise sold as an accessory if you buy this saw. believe this is an exceptional accessory that is going to greatly improve the accuracy and safety of angle cuts.
The work was done perfectly. miter saw may not be the most feature-rich on the market, but it accomplishes all the tasks it is intended to do. I have not seen a better build quality in a product of this type. In selecting a new sliding saw, I took into consideration the weight of the machine. My old sliding saw weighs about 75 pounds. There is about 35 pounds of weight in this saw. Even so, I am still able to cut about 8" wide on my machine. That is sufficient for almost everything. I highly recommend this product!.
