No, T shanks are used.
There is no laser on it. There is a laser on the P521. A P521, on the other hand, is difficult to come by. I believe Ryobi took the laser away because most people aren't aware of how to use it. To use it effectively, you must aim far down at the board's end. The majority of people aim for the blade, which serves no purpose.

There is no adjustment for the dust blower that I am aware of. It's most likely related to the motor's speed, which can be adjusted. The manual makes no reference to the built-in dust blower.

What a powerful saw! I recently used it to cut a hole in a laminate countertop for a sink. I used a Bosch 20 tooth scrolling blade, which worked great and didn't chip at all. Despite what some other reviews claim, this saw will accept standard t-shirt material. blades with a shank It is a battery hog, as has been mentioned in other reviews. If you're starting a project, it's a good idea to have a few high-capacity, fully charged batteries on hand.
I own a number of ryobi tools, all of which perform admirably, but this one could be better. First and foremost, the product was mislabeled, and I received the incorrect model (P5231 vs P523). However, when I received the one I ordered, I noticed that the blade bent and wobbled side to side enough that the bottom and top cuts did not line up, especially with thicker wood. I had a cheap old black and decker jigsaw that I used and abused for over a decade and never had that problem. On the plus side, it has plenty of power and the blade lock is simple and quick to operate. I would recommend a different tool if you plan to do detailed work, but it does a good job for rough work.
Because I already had ryobi tools, I bought it to make a massage gun. The massage gun is fun, but it's a little too loud, heavy, and unwieldy for some people. But it does the job, and aside from the noise level, I have no complaints for the $100 I spent on it. The sliding speed is ideal for a massage gun because it prevents you from accidentally giving it too much juice, and the ability to lock it in at a constant speed is a great feature for people who want to do massages with it.
It appears that the saw is in working order. It's way too soon to say. I understand that this was a refurbished item, but the seller could have done a better job with the shipping. It arrived in an oversized box with no packing materials to keep it from moving around. It wasn't even covered or poly-coated. Because we had a storm the day it was delivered, I needed a full day to test the saw because I didn't want to risk it shorting out.
It was unnecessary to say anything else. This is an excellent product that is well worth your money. This is a wonderful addition to my cordless collection. It's well-built and simple to operate. It works well in hardwood and doesn't get sluggish. Installation of blades is simple.
I already own several of these tools, but I needed a jigsaw for some woodwork on a bathroom remodel. This little guy is a workhorse. He has never let me down and has always performed admirably. It never failed me when I was cutting wood and thick vinyl flooring.
Manipulation is extremely difficult. Does not follow the path of least resistance. I like Ryobi, but not this product because it's so difficult to follow even a semblance of a line.
We purchased this for some home improvement projects, and it performed flawlessly. The light is especially useful when working in tight spaces. br>I like the variable speed, and it saw a lot better than our previous Jig Saw. br>I'd buy it again if I needed it.
