No, you must use the corded version for illegal purposes. Lithium saws aren't very good at cutting through stolen cars because the battery drains too quickly (and furiously). You might be able to get away with it if you can steal the 20volt batteries along with the cars. The Lithium saw, on the other hand, will be more convenient for you in prison because you won't have to bend over to plug it in.
A LED light is included in the DCS334 kit.
Local hardware stores and big box retailers, as well as Amazon and Dewalt, accept orders online. Dewalt recommends that you use only the right battery.
I bought it to cut 3x3s, but it goes deeper than that; I'd say it can cut 4x4s. It's the quickest and most precise way to cut. I recently purchased a Dewalt 20 v platform, which is excellent. This jig saw, on the other hand, is without a doubt the worst jig sawbr>I've ever used. This saw fails miserably to trackbr>Period, and that is the sole reason for this rating. Also, make sure you're using the right blade. br>On white oak, I'm using this on a professional level. br>Because I'm a tool nut, I also have the following jig saws:br>Festool, Milwaukee, and Makitabr>Believe it or not, Festool isn't the bestbr>either, but this Dewalt saw is rendered completely useless. Everything else looked and felt perfect, so it was a real bummer.
Today I received a Dewalt Brushless Jig Saw. When I look at Dewalt tools, the first thing I look at is the price. The date code on the batteries is the manufacturer's date code. One was made in November of last year! Made in Mexico with no blemishes or scratches. The tool was packaged in Dewalt factory packaging and came with a manual. Dewalt 2AH was used to test the weight factor. Cells with the number 4AH. For smaller projects, 2AH provides plenty of power. With both cell packs, it feels well balanced. The higher the Amp Hours (2 vs. 4) in a drill or driver, or in this case, a jigsaw, the more torque it produces. But it wasn't a big deal because the 2AH provided plenty of speed and power. The 4AH battery would give you more run time and more power, but it wouldn't make a difference unless you're cutting thick wood or plywood. In that case, I'd reach for my Dewalt Circular Saw 20V. This brushless model is impressive in terms of size and weight. With the cell packs attached, the balance is perfect. The blade area has dual led lights that turn off after ten seconds. When the floorplate is all the way back, it locks into 0 or 45 degrees. If you want different angles, slide the long lever under the handle to the right to unlock it, then ziggle the bottom plate forward while holding the handle, which will unlock the swivel and allow it to swivel in degrees left to right. Then, with the plate facing forward, push the locking handle back under the handle. The ability to lock into 0 or 45 slots without being able to move is a nice feature. Pull bottom shoe backwards until you hear a light click, then put into 0 or 45. Then return the locking bar to its original position. This eliminates the possibility of changing the angle from 0 to 45 by accident. Only by unlocking and sliding the shoe forward will it pivot from left to right. To keep dust out of the cutting area, there is a nice air port in the front. On Amazon, I bought a Dewalt Jig Saw case, which fits perfectly with the blade inserted and the 2AH battery installed. With the 4AH attached, it's possible to trim one spot for storage. On Amazon, I bought a Dewalt Jig Saw Hard Case DC330/DCS331. Spare batteries, a charger, and a Dewalt blade kit have plenty of room in the case. Great purchase and far superior to the soft case I had previously. On top of the variable trigger is a thumb speed control.
I'm very pleased with this tool, and I'm glad I added it to my Dewalt tool collection. When I was installing a new hardwood floor, I used it to cut odd shapes. My wood-to-tile transition would not have looked as good if I hadn't used this tool to make all the precise cuts; it's simple to control where the blade goes, and the LED light illuminates the cut line; I would recommend this tool to anyone looking for a new Jig Saw.
I finally decided to make the switch to cordless for some of my older tools. Even though my 14v Dewalt drill was still functional, I was down to one working battery and didn't want to waste time looking for "new" old technology on the internet. br>br>As a result, I ditched the cords and replaced a half-dozen old cordless tools. I'm also going to get some new tools that I haven't used before. My jig saw was one of the replacements. br>br> I used the new Dewalt jig saw on a couple of projects over the weekend. It glided right through 3/4" plywood with ease. br>br>In the last 20 years, there have been significant tool changes. Thirty years is an incredible achievement. All of the tools have LED lights, which I like. It's also great to blow the sawdust out of your cut view. For this DIY'er, battery power appears to be more than adequate. br>br>I was also pleased to see that, in an age when most things appear to be cheaply built, Dewalt quality is still fairly high.
Ironically, I've only used it for unintended manufacturer purposes, despite the fact that it has a dual purpose. I'd heard about Theragun for releasing muscle knots, but I couldn't afford to buy one just for that. I bought this jigsaw because I'm remodeling my house anyway. If you have lower back pain, I recommend looking into jigsaw adapters, which typically consist of a foam ball attached to a reinforced modified jigsaw t-strap. blade. Regardless, stretch each calf for 10 seconds, as well as your hip flexors and anywhere else your physical therapist, chiropractor, or personal trainer recommends. Without the use of allen wrenches or other special tools, the blades are simple to install and reverse. Because of its rugged/heavy construction, it's ideal for cutting thin materials while keeping the material pressed down for a consistent cut. The tool's only drawback is that it consumes a lot of battery power and will cut out in the middle of a cut rather than slowing down to a halt. Aside from that, it's a fantastic resource.
It cuts cleanly and clears the dust from your guide lines. No cords! Have I mentioned how well it cuts? It's a huge improvement over the cheap corded device I was using previously.
