Questions & Answers

Why would I choose this model over the jv0600k aside from the light?

After reviewing both because I had the same question, I discovered that the 4350FCT has an electronic system that maintains speed under load and a soft start feature that the JV does not have. So you're not shelling out $60 for a light bulb. br>There appears to be an anti-theft device included with this model as well. I'm not sure if this is available for the JV0600K, but it's a splintering upgrade part. br>I've also heard that the JV doesn't come with a base pad to protect surfaces from scratching, but duct tape would work just as well.

Is there any kind of blade included in this? If so, how many and what kinds are there?

It includes a four-pack of Makita blades, as well as one metal Makita B-blade. There are 22 blades in total, with three of them being wood. A pair of Makita BR-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX There are 13 A's and one B-.

What do voltagedevices stand for?

I'm not sure what you mean, but the saw is a 110-volt model. 115 volts It's corded, so you'll have to plug it in.

Every one of my power tools has its own protective case. What is the part number for this tool with its own case that I will use?

I bought a box and put all of my cordless tools in it, but I have no idea.

It is deserving of five stars
5/5

If you're curious, it uses t shank blades. It has a very smooth cut. I've successfully cut 3/4" plywood and 1/8" plywood with it. I've had no problems using it on plastic sheets up to 1/4" thick. I've also had no issues using it on ceiling perforated sheet metal. I have never used the anti-splinter plastic piece; Also, it didn't appear to be able to hold itself in place well enough to withstand the force of splintering wood, but I can't say for sure. It's also not overly heavy. I've used other jigsaws that blow dust at the user, which is annoying, and the light really helps when you think it's not even too dark to see your line. This one, on the other hand, blows the dust towards your work, keeping it out of your eyes and your cutting line free of dust and debris. If you're looking for a corded model, I can confidently recommend this one.

Jigsaw battle between Maikta and Bosch
4/5

I ordered the Maikita 4350FCT and it arrived very quickly, which was a relief because my 25-year-old Bosch was dying a slow and painful death and I needed a jigsaw for a weekend project. I opened the case and tested it out right away. Unfortunately, the orbital action was completely broken, so I contacted Amazon customer service, who took care of everything for us. But I can evaluate it and compare it to a new Bosch JS470 that I recently purchased. br>br>Makita (br>br>Makita (br>br>Makita (b Good power, slightly smaller than the Bosch, shorter power cord than Bosch, I like the LED light, I'm hoping the orbital action was a fluke and does not reflect Makita quality in general. br>Bosch: I'm sorry, but I don't know what you're talking about Good power, slightly larger than the Makita, much longer power cord, which I like, wish it had the LED light, orbital action worked flawlessly, and finally, the blade release appears to be identical to the Makita but differs significantly. The blade flies out when you move the blade release. Actually, I think this is a fantastic idea because it eliminates the need to remove it with a hot blade. But keep it pointed in a safe direction and out of harm's way. br>In general, assuming the Makita isn't defective, they're a close match, though I'd give Bosch the edge.

A great feature is the light
4/5

It appears to be very solid. I'd give it a four-star rating if I could. 5 stars. Back in the early 1990s, I had a set of Bosch jigsaws. That finally came to an end. The new backpacks appear to be divided into two categories: a low-cost model and a high-cost model. This one is a cinch to cut. A great feature is the light. It appears to be very solid. Nice cord; I suppose the soft start is a plus, but I'm still getting used to it. The plastic piece you pull back to change the blade makes me a little nervous. Instead of using a tool to adjust the foot, you'll need to use the included allan wrench. less of a method It's almost certain that it cuts straighter than the old Bosch. The advantage of having a light outweighs the disadvantage of having to adjust the allen wrench. Very nice! br>br> I'm confident that I'll continue to use it for many years to come. This level of quality is only shared by Milwaukee and Makita. Fein and Festool are at the top, followed by Dewalt Bosch, Rigid Hitachi, the new Porter Cable, Ryobi, and so on. (I'm not sure where Bosch is going. ) As of 2014, they have perplexed me. 2015).

Finally, a machine that is quiet, ergonomic, and cuts straight
5/5

Over the years, I've owned a number of $90 jigsaws, including Bosch, Hitachi, and a brand I can't recall. I don't have anything negative to say about any of them, but they weren't particularly enjoyable to use. They were ridiculously loud and heavy, and even with a guide rail, they couldn't always cut heavier materials in a straight line. br>br>In comparison, this one is like a dream come true. It's actually a little more comfortable and lighter than my Hitachi, and it's also quieter (!). ), and your wrists aren't subjected to nearly as much vibration. And, yes, it cuts 1" hardwoods and plastic stock straight. br>br>The bottom line is that if you plan on using your jigsaw frequently or if you need to make precise cuts, spend the extra $70 and get a Makita. You can get away with a lower-priced blade if you only need to make a rough cut every now and then. However, there is a cost model. br>br>PS: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words " It's a shame the dust collection attachment has to be purchased separately for the price. The attachment, like many other Makita hand tools, has an inexplicably strange hose diameter, but that's nothing that can't be fixed with a little improvising.

It's the best I've ever had- powerful, consistent, does not drift, and blades are simple to change
5/5

Over the years, I've only used a few different brands, some of which were pretty bad, and I decided to upgrade. It's a pretty stupid thing to cross off my bucket list, but it's here, and it works just like a hand-held jig saw should. Even if you have a decent shop, the LED light isn't worth mentioning, but I relied on it heavily. With whatever air and vibration is present, the dust is also blown out of the way. The most important aspect is how it is handled. It's a good size, not too big and not too small, but it's definitely a one-handed saw. I bought several different types of blades out of curiosity, and for cutting hard maple, I settled on a reasonably priced Bosch fine tooth blade. It cut with a steady precision, refusing to pull in either direction, and it went as slowly or as quickly as I needed (to avoid error and burn, fast and slow). There's no way you could go wrong, in my opinion. A word of caution: I had just gotten this one and was going to go with the flow on it, but an almost identical saw with a different product number was much cheaper locally at Home Depot or Lowes (I can't remember which), so I would check that out first. In addition, the reports on where the tool is manufactured are out of date. As of 2013, they all appear to be made in Southeast Asia, rather than Japan or the United States.
