Overall, it's a good piece, but the spindle isn't grounded

This is an excellent collection. GRBL makes it simple to control. The manual is an excellent resource, but it lacks specific instructions, so you'll have to do some research and trial and error. I didn't get an earthed spindle - Pin 4 had never been connected in any way. Solder a wire between pin 4 and the metal case to fix this - Just make sure the small internal fan isn't obstructed.

Put this on a TAIG mill and see what happens. I am overjoyed. If you follow through with it. Get the largest stepper motors you can for that TAIG mill so you can travel at speeds of up to 40 or 50 IPM. The cuts are extremely smooth!!.

Doesn't produce the full number of revolutions per minute

This spindle and VFD will only produce a little more than 10,000 revolutions per minute. The same spindle on a different VFD can achieve 24,000 revolutions per minute. br>I haven't been able to inform the company about which VFD settings to use.
