There is a sticker on the box that says it was made in Japan. In comparison to tritons, which sell crappy routers for similar prices, I was blown away.
It is true. Get a job and spend your Slowing down the router is ideal when you want to use large bits or large diameter bits, as it makes the tool safer and the machining much more pleasant.
As I have this router mounted on a Legacy Mill, which is obviously different from a table, I am still able to adjust the bit height easily. As a nice feature, the plunge lever has a very precise locking mechanism which makes it easy to choose the optimal

Most of the points are good, with just one serious fault (that can be addressed). You make a good point. *A trigger position that suits my needs is the perfect one. When the router is on, you do not need to take your eyes off the work. There is typically good quality in the Makita power cord. Its plunge action is as smooth as I have ever seen in anything other than There is no need to worry about the security of the PC template guide connection. There is no resistance necessary for the plunge measurement to be taken because the plunge is quite smooth. It is convenient to control the depth of the plunge by using the depth hold control. It takes time for the turn to happen. I feel smooth when I walk. The electronic turnstile allows you to turn right and left )* * *The bad! The nuts are divided into two types Both a wing nut (without ears) and a cap nut serve as protection against the plunger going sputtering. Neither is made of metal I have only used them a few times in my summer trip because they seem rather lackluster, and have not held up very well. I'm working in the garage at the moment. As soon as it was used a few times, the wing nut cracked and the cap nut stripped itself It was a simple problem to solve have been in business ever since. There's no way I could do this You must connect your router to the Internet. (I have a Festool Q1400. This router does have a few uses for its high power, however, and I like the operation. My disappointment at Makita being able to produce such weak nuts that are supposed to resist the plunge springs is evident. So, the router only receives 4 stars, despite the fact it should receive 5 stars for the price.
I am very happy to have purchased I am glad I bought it. It is a very good tool. Over the course of my thirty years experience, I have always had great results using Makita products. As with the previous unit, I expected a relatively heavy duty edge guide to come with it. The edge guide is not included, and from my perspective, Amazon should not use an image depicting the guide in place. In order to find out what Makita's guide number is for the correct item on their site, you have to look through the Makita site to see which specific guide to purchase. Makita calls their guide holder " -" even though they are called " guide ". Item 122700– In fact, the item appears to be in two parts, a "holder" which is the connecting bar and a two bar component. There is another item number for the secondary piece of the system that connects to the holder and rides on the material. On Makita's website, I could not locate the piece associated with it, and neither could I find it The best option is probably to fly to Japan and set up an appointment with someone at the factory and eventually get.
Was going to give it 5 stars if it actually came with a storage bin. As a result, Amazon slapped a shipping label on the Makita box and sent it off in the mail. When I received it, it had a nice hole kicked in the side. Sad. Amazon is impressive to say the least. It was fortunate that the router was not damaged. I could not store the router in the box and close the lid without very hard pulling on the power cord where it attaches to the router - It barely fits into the box, but you cannot use if without huge pressures/hard bendings on the power cord - If you ask me, this is a critical time. * Those are the negatives but the pluses are that there are a This router has a great start button, LED deck lighting, and handy hand grip trigger control which make it one of the easiest to operate I've ever tried out. I bought this particular tool specifically because it was made in Japan, and I assumed it would be highly durable and high-quality, just like all my other Makita tools which are top-notch! Although some of the Makita sanders are no longer made in the US or Japan, others remain in the Japanese market. It would be wise to check before you buy if this is important to ****I was really, really hoping to buy a US brand made in the good ol' United States of America, but after spending a few hours looking, reading reviews, and calling around, I discovered that that type of product is now a thing of the past. I find it sad how disappointing this is.
With the controls being ergonomic and good plunge action, this is a very enjoyable machine. For mounting under a table, it's a bad idea if you plan to use it with a table, you should not buy this.
The dust collection (which requires an optional attachment) is mediocre. There is no way to disable the plunger and there is no way to adjust the height without a lot of effort. My experience with the optional rail guide is very good with Festool guide rails, however I do not have any experience with Makita rails. You aren't going to be satisfied with these except if you really want the Festool OF 2200.
As a Lowe's customer, the only way I can review this router is to compare it to another router. There is no way I could mention any other products on here, so let me just say that I have a high-end router from a company whose colors are Because I happen to be a big fan of the company, I was very excited about buying their products. When I started using the router, I didn't like the grips, and the plunge wouldn't stay at the depth I had set. This guy was nice enough to return it and give it to me. In the beginning, I'd like to point out that its grips are unlike any other router I've ever The game is like playing with two joysticks and the game is fun. I really like how the trigger is located, now I don't have to lift my hand every time to turn it on and then put it back down. Just pull the trigger on the grip and you're good to go. I think that's a serious game changer. In the lock in position, it's a good position for me to hold the pistol without having to let go of the grip. Even though it's a bit of a stretch, I've learned to cope with Additionally, I haven't slipped at all. When I say I want this to dive to 1, I mean to say I want it to dive to When it gets to 25", it stops right The fence would be my recommendation for this situation. The thing I lack and wish I had is a passport.
Makita also makes it virtually impossible to find a good one at any price. However, it is a good router nonetheless. The following picture shows everything that is included in the kit.
