Questions & Answers
It appears to be a good fit. It's possible that the screw holes won't line up, so you'll have to drill some new ones.
Once it's properly installed, you'll be able to stand on it. At the very least, 200 pounds will be supported. I mow around it, then come back and trim the grass around the adage with a line trimmer. In high heat or cold, constant hitting with a mower or lawn tractor can damage the attachment points or even crack it.
If you bought a Tuf-It, this would be ideal. After that, attach the Tank Adapter Ring and the domed lid. This allows you to secure the lid to the ring and keep as much unwanted water out as possible. This item will simply cover the hole if it isn't equipped with a TAR. It will protect it, but not in any other way.

These were purchased to replace existing black-colored Tuf- Septic tank lids that are 20 inches in diameter. These are an improved version of my original black ones from 15 years ago. These are thicker, and the green color blends in with the grass from a distance, but it's still noticeable when you're within 10 - 15 feet of them. I can't run over them with the lawnmower because they're 20 feet away. So far, everything has gone according to plan - I'll try to remember to update this once a year and report any issues that arise.
Plastic that is thick and heavy. I had no problems running over it with my riding mower, and I would recommend it.
If you don't run the zero turn over them, you'll have to replace one of them.
Tuf-It was a great place to shop for a variety of items. Tidy up our tank to make cleaning and inspecting it easier. I installed to 20" bases with 12" risers and lids as well as a 12" riser with lid because the 12" didn't have a base I made an ell bracket for that riser I had everything uncovered tools ready when the items came one hour later I was finished.
To get to a septic tank, we had to put in risers. We needed a better option than cement risers, which are difficult to work with due to their bulk and weight. We screwed together two 12" and one 6" risers. All of the pieces, including the lid, fit together perfectly. The lid appears to be sturdy enough, but I wouldn't want people to walk on it. br>br>We just installed them, so I'm not sure how long they'll last, but so far they're working as expected.
This is the same one we smashed when we drove over it. I'm relieved to have found someone to take my place. We've learned our lesson and won't make the same mistake twice.
What is there not to like about this? It fits perfectly, is a bright green color, cost a fraction of what we paid for it from our local dude, and the lawnmower man had to pay for it because he chopped up the original one with his "oh so cool, runs fast, zero turn" mower. I adore the fact that Amazon has almost everything you could possibly want:.
