There are two versions of this item available. Whether it's a bare tool or one that comes with a battery and charger, the choice is yours. The battery and charger are not included in this version, according to the description.
The cutting tools are perfect for the job.
There are a few extras included. They quickly lose their effectiveness. The software is fantastic in and of itself.
Any collet that is built for 1/8" will fit the 1/8" bit. However, the collet for a dremel will not fit in a ryobi and vice versa. The flex shaft that comes with the ryobi does not fit on the dremel because the dremel's inner cable is square while the ryobi's is hex. Dremel's flex shaft and interchangeable collets make it compatible with a wide range of other brands. I'm looking for a replacement flex shaft for my seventh ryobi rotary tool right now. The motor works well on all seven tools, but the shaft breaks easily, and not everyone makes a hex inner cable. I hope this information is useful.

Works great, no need for an extension cord for field work, and works well with the 20 or so Ryobi One batteries I have on hand. The Collet isn't made of aluminum, which is a problem. It is easily ruined if it comes into contact with the target surface. A collet nut is not available for purchase. I looked for hours and hours, making phone calls and even going to Home Depot. Dremmel nuts that are advertised as "universal" do not fit. I called Ryobi several times, and after an hour on hold, they informed me that the nut was not available for purchase. The entire flexible rotary head assembly, on the other hand, can be purchased for $40. It's the equivalent of replacing a car because the tire is flat.
I have other rotary tools similar to this as a wood carver, but as a man, I needed this one as well. After all, I already have so many Ryobi tools, so why not add another green item to my store? br>My issue is that it's extremely noisy, and if you're left-handed, there's no slot for the handpiece. br>However, I like the layout and how I can stack all of my frequently used items on top of each other until I lose them.
At Renaissance Festivals, I do on-site glass engraving for guests. I need a battery backup because there are times when I don't have access to power. It was a no-brainer for me because I already own a lot of Ryobi tools. It works great and the battery lasts a long time; I brought an extra battery with me to a weekend show and never used it. And I engrave a lot on the spot.
I got it for a good price, and it's a lot more powerful than a battery-powered Dremel. I'll be able to use it starting at 1 o'clock. 5Ah. 9Ah is a new type of battery. 18-volt battery from Ryobi It's ideal for long run times on a single charge, as well as during power outages.
I purchased one of these to replace a Dremel that I had been using for years. Instead of being stored in a difficult to open and unpack kit box, it sits on my bench. It saves a ton of time, works flawlessly, and the battery charge lasts an eternity.
The rotary dial gives the impression that the higher you turn it, the faster it spins incrementally. The dial is smoothly turned; It doesn't click into place when it's supposed to be locked. However, until you reach a specific point in the rotation, the speed does not increase. br>br>Instead of being gradual or analog, the speed increase is more like: level 1, level 2, level 3, and so on. br>br>Apart from that, I think it's fantastic.
This is my second tool, giving me a total of two. I like how you use them like a pen and with such force and speed. This is a tool that can be used in a variety of ways.
This particular rotary tool appeals to me. I've had a few in the past, and some are still in my toolbox, but this is now my go-to for this type of tool. It was just used to clean a set of wire wheel hub caps. Using this tool instead of any other made the job a lot easier. I'm excited to use it to sharpen some garden tools that have become dull over time.
