This tool twists all wires together for a secure connection. Made of hard plastic, it should last a long time and can be used with almost any wire not, wing or no wing. br>If you need to work on multiple wires at the same time, this is the tool for you.
It also arrived quickly with Prime. It works on almost all wire types, but the sizes I use the most are the ones I'm most familiar with. The ones that don't fit are either extremely large or extremely small, and I don't use them very often. I'm very impressed as long as the plastic lasts! (If it breaks in under 90 days, I'll update this review. ).
It's a lifesaver when it comes to twisting wires. I don't rewire anything without having this tool with me now that I have it. It attaches to a wide variety of wire nuts and saves my hand from twisting over and over wire nuts. It does not attach to small wire nuts, but it will work with anything 14 gauge or higher. Other electricians can't match my speed when it comes to replacing outlets. I don't have any problems with my hands. I use this with a drill to avoid constantly twisting my hand when redoing an apartment's outlets and switches, and I'd buy it again if I hadn't already broken it. The plastic looked like it was going to break. But it hasn't done so yet. Just make sure it doesn't fall off the drill and crack the floor when it's connected to it. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> br>I've discovered that using this method on a drill makes it easier to overtwist wires. Once you've gotten the hang of it, you'll be able to tell where to stop to avoid this. To avoid overtwisting, I sometimes hit the drill and check it, then hit it again. This is powerful enough to eliminate the need for pre-production. Connect the wires with a twisting motion. Simply attach the wire nut to the wires and screw it on; it will twist the wires beautifully for you.

I've been an electrician for 5 years and have always mocked "hack" electricians who use this. I cut my thumb so badly that I couldn't use wirenuts, so I gave up and bought one of these instead. It's quite nice; you don't even have to pretwist with up to 4x 12 wires on an older 12v Dewalt impact; just turn it on once for the pre-tensioning. Twist, undo, twist on, and you're good to go, and with about any amount of 14, you don't even need to run it on twice. That being said, it can definitely mess up wires by over twisting, it only takes a few minutes to learn the trigger/wire behavior, and it can be a huge pain if used by an idiot.
If you have more than one wing nut to twist, repeat the process. get this. My previous one had been lent. Yes, it now serves someone else, and I am aware of who that person is. You won't be sorry if you use this tool because it provides such a high-quality connection. My most recent one was a 3M/red one that was easy to locate in my toolbox. br>When I went to replace it, I noticed it was a few dollars more expensive, and the sidewall was a little thinner, but not by much.
