As my previous supply of Dremel cutting discs was running low, I decided to treat myself to this set. I thought the Dremel was a novelty when my wife gave it to me as a Christmas present nearly ten years ago. It is, without a doubt, the most adaptable tool I possess. I've been using it for years on HVAC, automotive, lawn tractor, and home projects. The basic brown cutting discs are brittle, but they cut through steel, iron, aluminum, and plastic quite well (albeit slowly, so be patient). I've cut gutter downspouts to the proper length, split Mustang door hinge pins in half for removals, and so on. The grey discs are a little more aggressive than the brown ones, but they work interchangeably in my opinion. In a pinch, I used some less expensive ones from a discount tool store, but they are clearly inferior to Dremel's. It comes highly recommended!.

The screw had been sheared off. This is a complete waste of time. Dremel is a brand I've always trusted, so I went with this cute little set. At least, that was how it appeared. Although the price is reasonable, the product is completely useless. I'm not kidding when I say that instead of the disc breaking, the mounting screw broke, leaving me "screwed. " no lol. So, unfortunately, with only 1 screw, this entire set is useless until I get to the store and buy more mandrels. This is a disappointment because the task I was given was quite small. What happened to the standard of quality? Either that, or this is a low-cost knockoff. Which do you think it is, I'm not sure. Even though it was only $12 with tax, I'm returning this garbage to Amazon on principle.

It was $6 less than the price at Home Depot. As much as I like Dremel, their cut off wheels wear out or shatter if there is any lateral play while cutting, so I added it to the cart. It's good to have enough cut off wheels when you need them, so there are 69 pieces in total. br>At this price, it's a no-brainer!! br>br>UPDATE: br>br> The cost has decreased once more. . . . resulting in the purchase of a second kit Just make sure you have enough in your cart to meet the "Add on Item" requirement if you're a Prime member.

I bought it to cut PVC, but the fiber blades that came with it couldn't handle the required speeds and broke. To be complete, the set must have metal blades.
