Questions & Answers

Does the rotary tool clamp come with the accessory shown in one of the pictures for clamping it? It isn't visible in any of the vise photographs. ?

Yes. The rotary tool can be clamped down and held with the help of an accessory attachment. It can be used to sharpen or polish objects.

Is my understanding of the dremel rotary tool multi-purpose correct? With a dremel 225-size vise, you can hold your dremel tool. Is there an attachment for the flex shaft number one? A shaft that is more than ten years old will not work. ?

Yes! I just gave it a shot. The vices plate is held in place by a nut that secures the flexi shaft. You can contact Dremel, but I'm sure they'll say no because they have a policy of only allowing one attachment per customer. I inquired if the multi-level marketing strategy was working for them. With the 667, pro chuck would work (? ) Use a light attachment. , to which they replied No, but they get along swimmingly! PS: Because the nut on the older model shaft is so small, I'm not sure I'd do it for safety reasons (a new shaft costs under $35). , or just hang the Dremel tool (if you need advice on 90 Dremel tools please call 505- 394- Boyd can be reached at 4357.

What is the product's power source?

There isn't a single source of electricity. This is a vise that can hold your work or a Dremel tool, which is a nice feature. It is not designed for heavy-duty use; rather, it is designed for light-duty use. It's where I keep circuit boards and other small lights. I like how the jaws can be adjusted and how big they open.

Is it possible to position an attached Dremel completely vertically due to the range of motion?

The pictured vise includes a separate mounting plate for attaching a Dremel Rotary Tool to the vise's base (attaches to the silver colored cap, not the vise's jaws). A Dremel Rotary Tool can be mounted vertically using this Rotary Tool mounting plate. The Rotary Tool, on the other hand, will be pointed downward, and the tool's operating end will be within an inch of the vise's silver colored cap (see picture of vise base).

The Dremel Vise is a fantastic vise that comes highly recommended
5/5

The Dremel rotary tool holder was the main reason I bought it, not the bar clamp. Because it is mostly made of plastic, I would avoid exposing it to oils or grease, as the plastic may become brittle over time if exposed to either. br>br>The Dremel holder can easily be swapped out for the bar clamp. The head of this vise has a nice ball pivot, and the bar clamp is similar to a wood clamp. Working clamps, in which you close them around your object and then tighten the handle to compress it even more for a better grip. br>br>The Dremel rotary tool holder is compatible with all Dremel rotary tools, as well as the Milwaukee M12 rotary tool (as shown below). This is a simple way to mount your rotary tool while maintaining control of your project. Working on your project this way can be simple at times. br>br>I would buy this again in a heartbeat. I only wish I had bought it sooner!.

The design is fantastic
5/5

The construction is of high quality. For small items, an articulated work vise is available. Maximum number of doors open 7. 5 inches. There are two modes available: The tool stand mode and vise mode are both available. (See pix. Let's begin at the beginning: Very good table clamp with a lot of capacity (takes enough bite out of the table or bench to be stable); Very good ball mount; bar- very good style vise clamp Very nice tool stand. It isn't as strict as an all-or-nothing approach. It's made of steel, but it's not overly heavy. It's made up of a combination of metal and high-quality plastic. This is something I should've purchased a long time ago.

Solid and adaptable
5/5

This thing performs far better than any of the other vices at or near this price point. It's a lot bigger and a lot more maneuverable than the two vices I use together to get half of the positions I can with this one. In addition, I'll be able to add my rotary device and move it around. Because of the large surface area covered by the table clamp, it can be used securely on corners and rounded areas. However, on my first attempt, I overtightened the rotary ball and needed to loosen it with a strap wrench. However, I've learned a valuable lesson, which I attribute to human error. But that just goes to show how strong this thing can be if you put your mind to it. This purchase has made me very happy. Thank you, Dremel, for making such a fantastic product!.

Not bad
3/5

This vice appeals to me because it accomplishes its goal. The vice's movement is sporadic due to the uneven surface of the ball, and one 'lock' setting does not work with just a little movement. br>br>I like that you can use a rotary tool with it. The fact that the rubber stop at the end of the bar falls off irritates me. I don't like the fact that you can only tighten the vice if one of the pipe jaws is completely against the socket. This means that instead of being able to center the mass over the ball if it is large, you'll have a huge piece of bar sticking out of the work area. br>br>You also have very little room to tighten the vice, so you have to do most of it by pushing it shut - It can take some effort to get going, and it can also move when you don't want it to. I like that the jaw pads are replaceable, but only one set is included. There aren't any flat jaws in this kit. Even the jaws on the bottom have the same shape. br>br>Major flaw in the product - The ball's interior has been severely corroded. Trying to contact the seller on Amazon is difficult because I only want that part replaced, not an entire new product, and I don't want to go through the entire waiting process.

With ONE small caveat, it excels at everything that brought you here
4/5

If you've gotten this far in the reviews, you already KNOW how useful this will be for all of your dremel projects and beyond. So the functionality is self-evident, and I can assure you that there will be no surprises in that department. br>br>However, the use of plastic/composite nuts to tighten both the main "ball" that keeps everything in place, the clamp that holds the vise to the workbench, and even the clamp that holds your work disappointed me. The ring that holds your dremel is metal, but the nut that secures it to the ring isn't. To be fair, I have not had any issues with anything stripping or not being able to tighten enough, and the plastic they used DOES appear to be a VERY tough, durable plastic, but given how great this vise is, I would gladly have paid a few dollars more to have metal components and know that my children's children will be able to use it as well. But still, it's probably to show their robots how things used to be and make fun of us when we used to make things ourselves.

2500-watt Dremel 01 Multi-Use Rotary Tool This is a vise that I purchased with the intention of using it
3/5

I tried it out and discovered that it didn't meet my requirements. br>The grip piece adjustments are more difficult than I prefer, and it takes a lot of fiddling to keep the pieces in place. br>The pieces I'm using are 1/35th scale, so this might be too much of a vice for them. br>The jaws are plastic, so I expect them to last, but they'll take a beating if they're used frequently to hold parts that require a file or sanding wheel. It is my opinion that it is incorrect. br>I believe I need a different set up to suit my needs; this one does not work for me. The majority of the construction is made of plastic, and it appears that a lot of thought went into it, but I need something for smaller parts, and this isn't it.

Multi-tasking is a good thing
5/5

Small to medium projects require a vise with a fully adjustable grip. For small to medium projects, this is a good vise to have. I needed something that would not only hold, but also raise my projects to a level where I wouldn't be injuring my neck and back by bending over for long periods of time. This will suffice. Despite the fact that the majority of it is made of plastic, The middle section appears to be metal and appears to be made of strong ABS. br>br>The table has a good grip. br>The vise grips have solid ribbed rubber pads and are highly adjustable. You place the project's edges in the grooves to keep it still while you work with the material. The middle section can also be tilted and rotated at various angles. Once you've achieved the desired angle, tighten and maintain it with the blue ridged ring. So far, it's been a positive experience. Dremel quality drills and accessories have so far impressed me. Check out the images. I strongly suggest it.
