When the motor arrived, the only function that worked was the fast speed. Found that one of the motor leads did not connect to the speed switch when I opened the unit. The switch that was shipped with the unit was a 6 pole, 3 throw switch. We looked at the print in an attempt to find which terminal it was supposed to be landed on. It appears in the print that the switch needs to be an 8 pole three throw to be able to wire both sets of windings About this, I tried contacting the manufacturer, but they did not contact me back. There is a type of switch I need to locate and buy and a 50mF capacitor I need to add. With an item costing almost $300, this is the type of quality control issue you should not have. I just updated By getting a 8 pole 3 throw switch and installing it, I was able to get the unit to work. This machine has wheels on the end that rotate. It costs more than $3,500 for some of these machines. It looks like the grinding wheels and polishing wheels on the end would cost much more and take a water purification system, but come on! Are we going to spend $3300 more? I bought it a few days ago to replace an older "made at home" set-up I used for many With the wire wheel on one end and the flapper sanding wheel on the other end, I was able to get a perfect fit. It is also possible for me to use polishing wheels occasionally. A polishing wheel and a cutting wheel are included. A small work area around the wheels gives this machine an advantage over my homemade grinder or a regular grinder. With a shaft length of about 26 inches without the tapered tip, and about 30 inches with it, this is a fairly large and heavy machine, which will require a good bit of bench space and a sturdy workbench to get the most out of it. I usually use the slower 1725 rpm speed, so the fact that this product has two speeds is a big selling point for me. There are a lot of lessor machines that are only 3450.
