This thing shouldn't spin, is it not? The wheel does not spin even when I put slight pressure on it. ?

If you press on it just a little bit, it stops spinning. Perhaps there can be an adjustment that will make it not slow down or stop put down pressure on it and tip it a bit and it slows down to maybe 100 revolutions per minute or so when it is set up at 3000 to 4000 rpm. Detailer for many years, I have used several orbitals, and I conclude this one is on the same level of quality as the big money one, and it is far lighter than many others. I would definitely recommend this orbital and would buy more.

You get a lot for your money

There are many reviews on this polisher, and I was doubtful, but I bought it on Prime Day regardless. I received the package fairly quickly, and when I opened it, I was greeted by a fairly hefty machine. I already have Porter Cable 7424 and a 7346, and this machine seems to be about the same, perhaps slightly larger. It is almost 15 years since I bought my PC, and 11 years since I bought my laptop. It was 15 years old and the electrical cord was fraying, so I bought the Chantpower for safety's sake. The PC has been re-wired, and it works fine. Side by side, back to back, they both perform the same tasks, except that the Chantpower is a little louder and vibrates a bit more. My PC is typically running at 4 GHz, but sometimes I run it at 5 Unlike the Chantpower, the Chantpower ran at a power of 2 People have said that Chantpower did not work out of the box and that was what made me concerned. No problems were encountered when I ran it. The motor speeds up more slowly on a foam pad and wax pressed into the car than it does on a computer, but speed increases rapidly. The durability of the product cannot be attested to since I have only used it once. There was a spare brush, and it seemed to be hefty enough.

I think the motor is sturdy enough, but I don't know for sure. The segment vibrates and spins well, even when you put pressure on it. Polishing it up is a breeze. It seems to me that the side handle is not so useful, and that the top handle is the on/off button is situated in an easily accessible spot, and it is a large one. It should still be easy to flip, but not so easy that it could happen by There hasn't been any overheating on my end. Occasionally I use it, but I don't use it every day. For the price, this is a great tool

This is the first dual action polisher I have purchased. In order to compare it to a more expensive brand, I purchased this one. both, I think the CP Chant power is much stronger and runs cooler than the other brand. It didn't bog down or stall while doing the same job as the more expensive model. I'm keeping this one and returning the other.
