It's 110v ready to use right out of the box. I didn't notice a 220v option.

On maple, purpleheart, and walnut, the thickness planer works wonders!.

It works fine, but a soft start motor would be preferable

The fact that replacement blades are readily available appeals to me. In contrast to my other power tools, the thickness planer starts with a bang and trips the circuit in my garage shop. I had to pay a lot of money to set up a separate line. I can now use it in conjunction with a vacuum attachment to achieve excellent results.

Garbage

The drive sprocket exploded after about a half hour of use. I ordered a replacement sprocket, which blew up after about half an hour. I bought a new planer, but it only lasted ten minutes before the drive sprocket blew up. Although the product is complete garbage, the customer service is satisfactory.
